IRONY! Pat King, Tamara Lich, Chris Barber, three leaders of biggest domestic terrorism action in Canadian history, the hate convoy. Mischief charges not enough no matter the sentencing. They attacked our citizens for political ends. #cdnpoli #ottnews
Democracy Watch Canada @WatchCanada Oct 23, 2023:
Another hate convoy aka freedom convoy mythology that persists is the suggestion made by Tamara Lich and others that the truck horns were just the occasional peaceful loving beep beep and not part of a strategy to harm local citizens to extort political change (aka domestic terrorism).
There is endless evidence that proves otherwise, but some of the hate convoy leaders were more careful than others about overtly recognizing and celebrating this tactic and the results. Pat King was not one of them, and here we see the 100% proof that the use of 120db truck horns in the Ottawa occupation was exactly what downtown residents always knew it was: an attack on civilians to gain power and extort government.
It seems about 40-50 people are on this particular call and you can see there are some in the group who share in Pat’s joy at being successful in harming people, others are worried about the consequences (to themselves if they are honking) but nobody cares that the real people – infants, single moms and dads, senior citizens, people with disabilities – are not sleeping for 10 straight days. It’s funny to them. And it is exactly what they wanted. Not peace. Not love.
Raw hatred.
@NgmailSg:
I remember reading some of the comments that were being made by convites at the time who were viciously celebrating their demolition of ordinary Ottawans’ lives. The sheer hatred they have for people who simply happened to be living here was deeply disheartening and shocking.
Democracy Watch Canada @WatchCanada:
Not that it should matter but they also didn’t understand who they were hurting. Centretown and Lowertown do have government buildings but that’s not who mostly lives there. Lots of working class people below average incomes. Very vicious and hateful to hurt them like this.
@ZainR:
They’re terrorists, plain and simple.
@mamabaer64:
Convoy also harmed a big downtown public high school, just as it resumed in-person classes.
Students endured noise, fumes, bus+LRT detours. School even closed for one day.
Worst was the
illegal
stockpile of fuel tanks nearby.
These kids will never forget.
@NgmailSg:
Shut my church down for 3 weeks too – just as in-person services resumed. The pastor thought it was too dangerous to the congregation to ask us to come in for services so he shut everything down.
That’s awful – I know the convites targeted schools for ‘protests’.
The thing was, even after having it repeatedly explained to them that the people they were hurting were mostly powerless, they would double down with a sneer… by contrast, I’ve never once heard any Ottawan say they hate people from other provinces, or rural folks, or whoever.
@Ontheisle2024:

Utterly ridiculous sane washing of a deluded dangerous egotistical domestic terrorist. If he wasnt white, he wouldnt even get this PR
@WallStHappyHour:
He’d do it again tomorrow. He’s a high risk to reoffend and should receive the maximum sentence for his crimes.
@downtownrob88:
He wanted to force Trudeau to quit, 4 months after an election where the PM prevailed 160-119. Lock him up.
@PrairieCatboy:
With respect, that would be wholly inadequate given the erosion of the rule of law this protest caused.
King’s apology was also not exactly apologetic, as reported. ‘I’m sorry I’m being punished for being right,’ does not strike me as contrite.
@MyFirstSocialM2:
He threatened the Prime Minister. He deserves longer than 10 years.
@terry_truchan:
How in the fuck does he relate to the citizens of Ottawa?
Has some trucker’s parked in front of his house for 3 weeks blasting their horns 24/7, while shitting & pissing on his lawn, having his family confronted & harassed every time they stepped outside?
Pat King apologizes for role in Freedom Convoy, faces sentencing next month, Fallout from actions in Ottawa left him unable to sleep and fearing safety, King says by David Fraser , Jan 17, 2025, CBC News
Freedom Convoy figurehead Pat King has apologized for his role in the 2022 protests, saying the fallout from his actions in Ottawa has left him unable to sleep, fearing for his safety, enduring online harassment, and facing financial ruin.
“I am extremely sorry for what happened to the City of Ottawa, and for that, I absolutely apologize for my actions,” he said, adding that he “can relate” to what downtown residents experienced during the weeks-long gridlock and constant horn honking.
King made the comments at the conclusion of sentencing submissions to determine whether he will go to jail – and for how long – for his role as one of the protest leaders.
A decision is expected on Feb. 7.
In November, King was convicted in Ontario Superior Court on five criminal charges: mischief, counselling to commit mischief, counselling to obstruct a public or peace officer, and two counts of disobeying a court order.
‘Worst kind of mischief’
Crown prosecutor Moiz Karimjee called King’s offending of the “worst kind” and asked for a 10-year sentence, the maximum penalty for mischief.
King’s defence requested time-served, citing the days he spent behind bars after his February 2022 arrest.
Victim impact statements, a pre-sentencing report on King’s history, letters from supporters, and a jailhouse interview he gave in July 2022 were included as part of the sentencing submissions.
Superior Court Justice Charles Hackland previously wrote that King’s “moral culpability” was “significant” as an “organizer and leader who aimed to gridlock, or bear hug the capital.”
Near the end of Friday’s court proceedings, Hackland indicated he was likely to consider a sentence ranging from time-served to two years in jail.
I expect King will be set free. Judge is a white man, King is a cruel racist raging hate-filled and hate-farming white man. Racist colonial Canada needs him out and free to keep harming the marginalized.![]()
King’s sentence will set precedent as the first convicted leader of the Freedom Convoy to face significant punishment. Others, including Tamara Lich and Chris Barber, are awaiting the outcomes of their trials.
Karimjee said King committed the “worst kind of mischief,” pointing to the cost to city officials and the impact on the community.
He argued that there is a “concrete” fear King might repeat his law-breaking behaviour and said King promoted a “dangerous idea” of inflicting pain on citizens to bring about societal change.
In a July 2022 interview King gave to a supporter from jail, he credited the Freedom Convoy for ending COVID-19 mandates.
That’s bullshit. The mandates in most provinces had already ended, or premiers had stated they were ending because the rich were getting upset that public health protections from a pandemic that killed millions and sicken many millions more were reducing yacht money riches. The vaccine restriction for trucker travel into the USA was mandated by the American’s not Canada’s federal gov’t, and most Canadian truckers were happily vaccinated and working – until the Fucker Trucker border blockades blocked them from returning back into Canada and to their homes and families.![]()
Karimjee asked for a “powerful” and “chilling” sentence, arguing that King’s comments in the interview showed he still believed in “extorting political change” through lawbreaking.
Karimjee told the court it was “pure fiction” to suggest the protests simply got out of control, because King orchestrated the occupation of Ottawa from the start.
The Crown highlighted comments King made as early as Jan. 12, 2022 – weeks before arriving in Ottawa – where he spoke about bringing “fear” and “scaring” people, which, Karimjee argued revealed King’s intentions.
And, he called for bullets for Trudeau (refer below to see King’s violence promoting clip)![]()
He described King’s actions as “an attack on the rule of law and democratic process” because King tried to change government policy by gridlocking the city.
He wasn’t just wanting to change policy, he was there to try to over throw the duly elected federal gov’t because of hating Trudeau, and copying the American Jan 6 insurrectionists.![]()
Court pushback against proposed sentence
Hackland repeatedly suggested Karimjee’s proposed sentence was too high, flatly stating at one point he “did not agree” that King’s conviction met the high threshold for a 10-year sentence, while making clear he was still deliberating.
The judge’s comments elicited smiles and looks of encouragement from King and a handful of his supporters.
King’s conviction was “not a minor mischief” however, Hackland said, noting that King did not appear to regret his actions.
As the proceedings wrapped up Friday, Hackland said the range he had to consider was between time-served and a jail term of more than two years. “That’s my impression,” he said.
Defence opposes imprisonment
The defence argues that King has already spent enough time in jail and should serve any sentence in the community.
OMG, the poor community if that is the punishment. Best find an all white racist male community of thugs.![]()
King’s lawyer, Natasha Calvinho, called the prospect of a 10-year sentence “absolutely outrageous”, accusing the Crown of seeking to punish King for the “sum total of the result of the Freedom Convoy.”
During his statement, King said he now struggles to find employment and spoke about the harsh conditions he faced while in custody, saying he was “threatened” and “constantly under threats of violence.”
King says he owes around $250,000 in legal fees.
While King accepted his guilt, he argued that there was no court injunction against parking trucks on residential streets when he helped organize the protests.
He blamed police for deciding where protesters could park and the media for slandering him.
Wow, looks like King isn’t at all contrite! His own hate-filled bullets promoting clips of himself prove his crimes![]()
“I don’t want to live in a country where I get 10 years for standing up for what I believe in,” King said.
By this statement, in my view, King’s apology is a lie.![]()
Impact on vulnerable communities
During Thursday’s sentencing submissions, Hackland acknowledged the impact the protests had on vulnerable communities.
A victim impact statement was read into the record from a representative of a women’s shelter, who described the trauma experienced by those affected by the protests.
“The women expressed, often, that it was like experiencing the abuse all over again,” said Sarah Davis, the former executive director of Cornerstone Housing for Women.

Sentencing hearing held for ‘Freedom Convoy’ organizer Pat King by Josh Pringle, January 16, 2025, CTV News
Supporters wished Pat King “good luck” as he entered the Ottawa courthouse Thursday morning, as one of the organizers of the ‘Freedom Convoy’ attended a sentencing hearing.
In November, King was found guilty on five criminal charges, including mischief, counselling to commit mischief and counselling others to obstruct police. He was found not guilty on three counts of intimidation and one count of obstructing police.
King was expected to be sentenced, but Justice Charles Hackland said sentencing submissions will be presented Thursday, with a decision delivered within a few weeks.
As King walked into court, one person yelled, “freedom.”
The Crown is asking for King to be sentenced to 10 years in prison. The defence is arguing for time served and probation.
Court heard a community impact statement from someone who did not testify during trial about how the convoy affected them—information the Crown said it wanted to present as an aggravating factor to support a lengthy period of incarceration. The defence took issue with that and said the statement shouldn’t be taken as evidence since the person did not testify and therefore was not cross-examined.
In January 2022, thousands of demonstrators attended the “Freedom Convoy” on Parliament Hill and in downtown Ottawa, protesting the federal government, COVID-19 vaccine mandates and public-health restrictions
protections
imposed by the government during the pandemic.
The Crown alleged King was a protest leader who was instrumental to the disruption the protest caused in downtown Ottawa for more than three weeks. The Crown alleged King co-ordinated the vehicle honking and told people to “hold the line” when he was aware police and the City of Ottawa had asked the protesters to leave.
King was arrested in Ottawa in February 2022.

@Red_Toryism:
Considering that, and Poilievre, Scheer and Barrett being close to Pat King, the truth is Pat King is “due to be sentenced today”.
Never forget Poilievre stood with Pat King for many years, since United We Roll, and likely before that.
Remember that.
PART TWO: “Top Secret Adjournment” by a Canadian court on a matter vital to the public interest. Lead white supremacist convoy con man “Trudeau is going to catch a bullet….” Pat King’s (when will he be charged with terrorism?) bail review halted when his lawyer’s computer was hacked, A robotic female voice began speaking from computer of King’s lawyer, David Goodman. Karma can be funny.

In my view, Pat King, Tamara Lich, et al, used the rampant ignorance and anger of Canadians fed by disinformation to con them into following the Nazi Putin “Convoy” Pack whose main goal is to over throw the democratically elected federal gov’t of Canada, much as the same insurrectionist Nazi led gang tried to do on Jan 6, 2021 in the USA and Putin is now trying to do in Ukraine. Putin is so arrogant in his riches and propaganda power, he doesn’t even bother to add a bit of creativity to his world dominance disinformation scripts.

King and Lich, in my view, are not intelligent enough to run such a slick murderous propaganda program, nor was/is Trump and the racist vile thugs in the GOP, but Putin and his rich ilk are. Putin’s WW3 has been raging for years, but most humans are too selfish, stupid, greedy and lazy to see it. Critical thinking is gruelling work, especially in jurisdictions like Alberta where it is not taught in public schools, for obvious reasons – to keep the illegal oil, coal and gas raping going strong.![]()
David Fisman@DFisman Feb 9, 2021:
Disinformation is a form of misinformation. The latter is incorrect information; the former is incorrect information that is propagated with intent to deceive and manipulate. The word is an anglicization of the Russian “dezinformatsiya”, which I believe was coined by the KGB

March 12, 2022: Ottawa Convoyers wanting to over throw Canada’s gov’t under guise of protesting health protections.
The Canada-wide fake trucker “protest” led by white supremacists demands to over throw a democratically elected gov’t and “put in” (Putin?) their own chosen leader to serve their “freedoms” and rights, but only theirs and not any of the rest of us while under guise of demanding health protections most of which were dropped, after politicians caved to the terrorists in Ontario, Alberta, SK, MB, BC resulting in dramatically increasing transmission, COVID-19 case counts, hospitalizations, including in ICU, and virus mutations. Deaths might be mitigated until Paxlovid is rendered ineffective by overuse or mutations.
Quebec only has a pretendian mask mandate because kids are not required to wear them in class, and it’s been long known and proven kids get and transmit the virus, with some ending up in ICU, with long COVID (including brain damage) or dead, and bring the virus home and thereby into vulnerable elder populations. This is why cases are rising in Quebec, not because masks do not work.
I want to know how much money democracy-hating Putin and Amerikkkan Nazis “donated” to King, Lich et al, using names of others, and which white supremacist law-violating lawyers (of which there are many in Canada) enable(d) this democracy-destroying “trucker” violence against Canadians, our public health care system and economy.![]()

In my view and many horrid experiences with Canadian judges, including those intentionally publishly lies about me to keep the oil and gas industry via the AER raping us, and lying lawyers (AER’s and mine!), the above includes judges that enable Nazis and or help them keep their evil secrets.
Pat King’s bail review abruptly halted when his lawyer’s computer was hacked, A robotic female voice began speaking during the video conference from the computer of King’s lawyer, David Goodman by The Canadian Press, April 14, 2022, The Calgary Herald
Ottawa convoy organizer Pat King is facing two new charges, the day after his bail review hearing came to an abrupt and unexpected halt Wednesday when his lawyer’s computer appeared to be hacked.
The details of the hacking were protected by a publication ban ordered by Justice Graeme Mew, but he lifted the order this morning after hearing arguments from a lawyer representing several media outlets.
The rest of the evidence and testimony from court Wednesday and today still cannot be shared.
Typical of Canadian courts and unjust! Intelligent critical thinking Canadians have a right to know vital details in legal proceedings concerning terrorists trying to over throw our gov’t. Today, the Crown announced it would lay new charges against King: perjury and obstruction of justice.

Those charges are expected to be laid this afternoon.
King’s lawyer, David Goodman, was appearing by video conference during the proceedings Wednesday when a robotic female voice started speaking from his computer, warning him not to turn off or restart the machine because his IP address had been accessed.
Later, the Crown relayed that Goodman’s client files appeared to have been compromised, but today Goodman said nothing has been corrupted.

It’s not clear if the attack has any relation to King’s case.
As court was adjourned today, King was seen putting his head in his hands. His bail hearing will be rescheduled to a later date.

Pat King bail review adjourned again, this time in response to new charges against him, Bail review hearing was abruptly adjourned Wednesday when King’s lawyer’s computer was hacked by David Fraser, CBC News, Apr 14, 2022
A key figure of the Freedom Convoy protest will remain in custody for now after his bail review hearing was adjourned Thursday due to new charges against him. On Wednesday, the same hearing was abruptly adjourned when a lawyer’s computer was hacked.
Pat King’s defence lawyer had requested a review of the decision to keep him in custody until his trial begins.
The bail review hearing started Wednesday but came to an unexpected stop when King’s lawyer, David Goodman, who was appearing virtually, interrupted court to alert everyone his computer had been hacked.
Through Goodman’s computer speakers, a cryptic voice repeatedly said the computer had been locked.
The proceeding was adjourned until Thursday, and Justice Graeme Mew ordered a publication ban on the hacking.
When the hearing resumed Thursday, the publication ban on the hacking was lifted. Goodman told court his computer issue had been “fully resolved,” nothing was corrupted and his files were safe and secure.
All evidence presented at the bail review remains subject to a publication ban, which is often requested and granted to prevent potential jurors from being prejudiced ahead of trial.
Arrested in February
King was a leading figure in the weeks-long convoy protest against COVID-19 restrictions protections
Canadian media have been toxic with their incessant use of inappropriate wording about mandated public health protections. Mandatory requirements like wearing life jackets, seat belts, etc, are not called “restrictions” for good reasons: they restrict nothing, instead they are privileges and protect lives, property and the environment. One can easily choose to walk, take public transit, ride a bike and avoid boats, or stay home, if one does not want to wear mandatory protections. If a business mandates wearing masks, shirts and shoes, and or vaccine passports, one can easily go elsewhere, shop online, do without, stay home, order in, etc. Nothing restrictive about them. Wearing masks is protective of vulnerable others in our communities, and protects the mask wearer too. So simple, so economical, so easy. Nothing restrictive about it.
, and was arrested on Feb. 18 on four charges: mischief, counselling to commit mischief, counselling to commit the offence of disobeying a court order, and counselling to obstruct police.
King is now facing additional charges of obstructing justice and perjury.
His previous lawyer unsuccessfully argued in February for King to be granted bail.
In his bail decision, Justice of the Peace Andrew Seymour said he was not satisfied King wouldn’t commit offences similar to those he’s accused of and doubted the impartiality of a proposed surety for King.
King is now co-accused with Tyson George Billings, who was arrested on similar charges the same weekend police cleared protesters.

Supporters continue to raise money
While he remains behind bars, King’s social media pages have remained active. Supporters operating his Facebook page also continue to solicit funds to assist in King’s legal defence.
On March 30, following online speculation and confusion as to who was representing King, his social media page shared a video that included screenshots of what appears to be a handful of receipts from legal firms. The video shows apparent payments, including one for $11,400.
“When the time comes, Pat King will select the best lawyer that he feels will perform their duties and have his best interest at heart for the ‘actual case’ and the ‘actual trial’ when he is required to do so,” reads a portion of the post attached to the video.
King’s supporters appear to be chipping in to help fund any bond that may be required for his potential release.
People claiming to be King’s friends and family have continued to operate his Facebook page, The Real Pat King, while he has been in custody.
The operators of the fund have solicited donations from supporters to fund his legal defence.
“Pat King requires our support from his friends and family to help cover his legal expenses so he can seek a release on bail then begin to prepare for his trial. The amount to cover the bail review and trial is estimated to exceed over $100,000,” a post from March 18 said.
The page claims to have raised $62,400, though it cannot be verified as the donations were made by e-transfer directly to a private email address.

Ottawa convoy organizer Pat King’s bail review hearing came to an abrupt and unexpected stop after only a few hours Wednesday.
The Ontario Superior Court was hearing evidence about whether or not to release King on bail after his lawyer requested a review of the court’s initial decision to keep him in jail until his trial.
The details of these latest proceedings are subject to a publication ban and cannot be shared outside of court.
The court also banned any publication about the reason for the sudden adjournment, at least until court resumes on Thursday.
King was a key figure in the three-week protest against COVID-19 D-19
protections restrictions
and the federal government that swarmed Ottawa’s downtown with large trucks, blocking streets and blaring loud horns at all hours.
He faces 10 charges related to his involvement, including mischief, intimidation, obstructing police and disobeying a court order.
King was denied bail on Feb. 25.
On Wednesday, he appeared freshly shaved, in jeans, a grey flannel shirt and tan vest with his hair in a neat braid.
The hearing was initially expected to last two days.
This report by The Canadian Press was first published April 13, 2022.

Polio Supports Truckers@PolioTruckers:
We knew a while ago they knew. We can also be pretty sure members of the CPC colluding… the timing of certain members prepared videos about becoming next PM made that pretty like. So now WHAT???? Why are we powerless to do anything about such potentially destructive acts?
I expect premiers Jason Kenney, Scott Moe, Doug Ford also colluded and or organized, to keep Big Oil and Gas and Putin et al happy.![]()
