Just in case something like this ever happens in Canada is one of the reasons I haven’t tried to get an official autism diagnosis yet. I know who I am and I don’t want a label to put me at risk for little benefit. I am worried for my autistic and adhders in the US.

In 1939, Germany created the “Reich Committee for the Scientific Registration of Hereditary and Congenital Illnesses”. It amassed lists of children born with various illnesses, and then consigned them to “special children’s wards” for treatment which was code for euthanasia.
Over the next 6 years, 5000 children were euthanized for the crime of being defective.
This is how it begins … by amassing records and making lists.
