Gene Angers (pronounced Anjers) is a longtime singer/songwriter andmusician for over 35 years. Playing the many pubs and bars in Calgary, Banff and surrounding areas of Alberta for 16 of those early years, Gene then moved to the Manitou Beach/Watrous area in Saskatchewan and has continued performing for the past 20 years. With a vast repertoire of classic tunes of the 60s through the 90s plus Celtic, Country, Reggae and Folk, Gene is now focusing on his many years of songwriting and is currently working on sharing and releasing his diverse styles of songs ranging from Folk to Rock to Bluesand more.

The Christmas/Holiday single,“Everyone Wake Up” (3:05), is a fun Sing-along song for kids and kids at heart. “It was inspired by memories of my youth when I was so excited but I had to wait for everyone to wake up before I could open any presents. It seemed so unfair.”
This song is dedicated to all of us kids who have to wait on Christmas morning.
Recorded at Skull Creek Studios (Studio of the Year, SCMA, 2024) with award winning Producer, Aspen Beveridge, adding Drums, Bass, Electric Guitars and Harmonies, the song has a bit of a Country/Rock flare while maintaining a light and fun feel. It’s hard not to sing along with the catchy and memorable chorus.
