Don Wilson@heiltsuk_paleo:
They stole them so young… if this photo doesn’t chill you to the bone, something is very wrong. Today is a tough one because thoughts of my Dad & so many other residential school survivors I know & love are coming in like a flood.

Michelle Cyca@michellecyca:
one of the most easily-disproven denial points is that “not a single body” has been found at residential schools. Cowessess First Nation, which found 751 unmarked graves at the Marieval residential school in 2021, has identified over 300 bodies:
Cowesses identifies 300 of 751 unmarked graves
Jen The Feisty Librarian@Feisty_Waters:
We should probably toss the “Canadians are nice” generalization and acknowledge there are plenty of residential school deniers, misogynists, racists, transphobes, anti vaxxers and other assorted fucko buckos including too many of our judges
who impede progress in this country.
@BCReality:
And many of them are running provinces.
Jen The Feisty Librarian@Feisty_Waters:
True story.
Natalia@NataliaMagick:
as a former immigrant to Canada, I never for a second thought that Canadians are nice. Canadians are passive-aggressive.
en The Feisty Librarian@Feisty_Waters:
Oh yes, we are very good at passive aggressive.
@BalconyGuy1 to Jamil Jivani:
This is blatant misinformation.
There have not been 100 churches that have burned to the ground.
The fact you first posted this on truth and reconciliation day shows you’re a race baiting fucking ghoul.

2024: Fascism never went away; it’s dangerous.
… Fascism is might over right, conspiracy over reality, fiction over fact, pain over law, blood over love, doom over hope.
Fascism advances every injustice. Its victory will leave us serfs of a vengeful nature, of relentless technology, and of unquestionable oligarchy.

… Once named, fascism can be defeated. Indeed, once named it can be easily defeated. … A defeat of fascism is not a negation. It is an affirmation: of a future that can be more beautiful, more just, and more free.
