David Eggen, the NDP energy critic, said the impartiality of the regulator has been tainted by the investigators, and Energy Minister Knight should fire the AEUB employees responsible for the decision to use undercover agents. “Nothing less than the legitimacy of government is at stake here,” Eggen said. “Ordinary people bringing their objections and concerns to the AEUB shouldn’t be treated like terrorists.”
