You gotta read this! Charlie Angus Substack on how Trump family are part of a deal for Canada to build military drones for Canada’s army!
Need to let Minister David McGuinty know this is NOT acceptable!

STOP DON JR. FROM GETTING A CUT OF CANADA’S MILITARY BUDGET by Charlie Angus / The Resistance, Sept 30, 2026
The Prime Minister’s announcement to massively increase Canadian drone capacity from 2,000 units to two million in just two years was a game-changing moment for Canadian sovereignty.
It wasn’t just that we were going to massively increase drone production – we were going to create our own supply network. The PM announced the Canada Industrial Defence Strategy, pledging to shift 70% of our military purchases to Canadian-based supply operations.
Such a dramatic shift in procurement makes perfect sense given the nature of the threat we are facing.
So why are we cutting Donald Trump Jr. in on the action?
Earlier this week, the podcast Large Man Abroad exposed the fact that Don Jr. has his fingers in a Canadian military contract obtained through Draganfly Technologies.
Draganfly had hired former Canadian generals and military lobbyists to promote their technology in Ottawa. They secured a $24.5 million deal to build 5,000 drones.
Draganfly has promoted itself as a Saskatoon success story, but that was a long time ago. The company is now run out of Tampa, Florida. The board of the company features Chris Miller, former Trump-appointed Secretary of Defence and Thomas Modly, Trump’s former Secretary of the Navy.
Following Draganfly’s success in scoring a contract with the Canadian government, we learned that Donald Trump Jr. purchased a stake in the company along with an unnamed U.S. investment fund.
No one has threatened our sovereignty like the Trump regime. In what possible world would we consider giving over drone contracts to the Trump crime family or an unnamed group of investors?
The Nazi Carney world. Carney is on Team Trump, always has been. Carney only serves the mass murdering Epstein Class kid raping rich, not ordinary Canadians.![]()
How is it possible to pretend that a company run out of Tampa, stacked with Trump allies, could even pretend to meet the government’s promised commitment to create a Canadian supply chain?
This is an issue of national security and sovereignty.
Would we invite Vladimir Putin and Russian investors to buy into the defence supply chain?
It is a completely unacceptable situation.
The good news is that Canadians are paying attention. No sooner had Large Man Abroad’s podcast been posted than my email and message network was overwhelmed with Canadians asking what to do. In one 12-hour period, I received over 600 emails from outraged Canadians. My Facebook feed and YouTube channel were overwhelmed with calls for action.
This is inspiring. Canadians are engaged. They aren’t taking things for granted.
Procurement of military technologies can easily descend into the worst boondoggles and insider deals. It will fall to the Canadian people to hold government to account and ensure that public funds go to Canadian companies with a clear focus on securing Canada’s sovereignty.
I invite people to contact Defence Minister David McGuinty. Make it clear that we are not willing to cut the Trump crime family in on the defence of our border – a defence that is being mounted because of the threat from Don Jr’s family.

Here is my pitch to Canadians to take action:
Gigi:
As an American I hope that the deal doesn’t go through. Trumps kids are robbing the US government (us taxpayers) blind with all the government contracts they are receiving. Time to put a stop to it. ELBOWS UP CANADA. ( my ancestors were from LaPrarie, suburban Montreal, Quebec)
Réjean Grenier:
Canada should cancel that contract. There are other drone companies. At worst, transfer that contract to a Ukrainian company.
Herr Harper will never allow it, he’s Carney’s handler.![]()

Beverley Wigney:
Watched “Large Man Abroad” vlog a couple of days ago and was so infuriated. Anyhow, this morning, I sent an email to McGuinty, cc’d to the PM and my MP.. We should not be getting entangled with Grifter D.T. Junior and his cronies.
Brian Doughty:
As long as this deal goes through then this company should not be eligible for 1 red cent of government subsidies. I dont want my tax dollars mixed in with those of the thieving Trump of a crook who accepts Russian blood money
Janet E Smith:
It is exhausting, defending again and again against US colonialism.
Especially with so many Canadians, normally intelligent independent thinking ones, sucked into the Carney Cult.![]()
JamJude:
Fact Check: From CBC: Draganfly Innovations was purchased by TRACE Live Networks, a tech firm based in California, back in July 2015. Despite the acquisition, the company kept its operational headquarters in Saskatoon, its original development team remained intact, and it eventually began trading publicly on both Canadian and American stock exchanges under Draganfly Inc.
The government needs to do a little more checking before they award contracts!!
Oooo, I think Carney knew damned well he was awarding the contract to fucking American companies. I bet he gave evil shit Don Jr investment heads up too.![]()

Had an interesting, and I mean very interesting, chat with a fully Canadian drone manufacturing company here in Ontario. I was looking for Aeryon Labs but they may as well cease to exist now being bought by Flir back in 2019.That is when I came across another K-W based drone manufacturer.
Draganfly use to build, yes build, great Canadian drones before their eyes caught a wiff of $$$. Now they use outsourced garbage parts!! So add to the fact they are basically a Trump regime run organization, from what I have gathered, nothing will be fully Canadian. David McGuinty also got a brief “I am NOT happy” email from me.
Thanks, Charlie for all you are doing.
Ken Smith:
Agreed Janet, and with 45 years of manufacturing and supply chain management in complex product streams in Canada, I have a large concern for the integrity of intellectual property, particularly military.
Watch the GOP scrambling to tarnish Jack Smith, who under oath testified that he has the evidence to prove Trump stole and sold government secrets to the enemy.
We must stop being naive.
Alison:
Please don’t let this insidious poser make money off my taxes
Candace:
I may have officially gone crazy. Canada has to be convinced not to deal with DJTJr? Wake up, dear neighbors! — And down here, why wouldn’t/isn’t DJTJr’s “company” be/being investigated for what I’d call suspiciously treasonous behavior [e.g., doing business with “one’s supposed enemy” for purely profit-making purposes]? Good grief!
Katherine Penner:
This is so not acceptable. Come on. Are we going to throw everything away to our southern neighbours??? Best recind that deal & do due diligence & homework before throwing our sovereignty away like that. Government do better. but that makes us WEAK!!!!
Colleen Humbert:
Done!
Judith Newman:
Just sent off my email to David McGuinty – I’ll get the usual form letter reply, but I guess if enough of us send email and call, he might get the message!
Ian MacDonald:
Draganfly…Stelco…time to bring back FIRA.
In fact…too late. Time to start nationalisations.
Ninja Radio:
And we’re not also talking about Palantir all over the Canadian military because?…
Dorothee:
No No No He’s a criminal like his father. Don’t want him anywhere near Canada
Hope:
Have emailed PM Carney, my local Liberal MP, the Liberal Party, and Defence Minister McGuinty.
David Hadwell:
The USA fascists didnt rename the Department of Defense to the Department of War for no good reason. Fascists love racism, terrorism, war and intimidation. Trump, in his warped mind does see the USA as being ripped off over the last 80 years, the same years the States made 900 billionaires and became the super - power of the West. Scapegoats like LGBTQ +, Immigrants / Illegals, Canada and Ukraine is all planned by Project 2025 and Trump, with help from Putin, Orban and Netanyahu and the Tech Bros.
Andrea D (Canada):
You can add former PM Stephen Harper in that list. He’s been chairman at the IDU for 10+ years and is buddies with Orban, The Heritage Foundation who created & funded Project 2025 as well as funding the Alberta Separatists.. The majority of the leading Conservatives at the Federal & Provincial levels are also IDU members.
Ken Smith:
Goddam scary isn’t it.

Here’s a direct link to The Minister of Defence The Honourable David J. Mcguinty…
https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/services/contact-us/contact-minister.html
This is what i sent(Feel Free to use!)…
“ Dear Honourable David Mcguinty,
As a Canadian Citizen and constituent in Cloverdale-Langley, I am Outraged, and I am writing to demand immediate government oversight regarding the Department of National Defence’s contract with
Draganfly Inc.
Canada recently awarded Saskatchewans’s Draganfly Inc.(California-owned) tactical drone contract worth up to $24.25M
CAD for up to 5,000 units. Just weeks after securing this deal under the banner of sovereign domestic capability, Draganfly Inc. partnered with AMERICAN Florida-based Unusual Machines – where Donald Trump Jr. sits on the advisory board and holds substantial equity-to source core drone components.
Canadian taxpayer dollars earmarked for national defense and sovereign security must not be funneled into American(foreign) entities tied to American(foreign) political figures.
I strongly urge you to call on the Department of National Defence and Public Services and Procurement
Canada to:
- Immediately Launch a full review into
Draganfly’s supply chain agreements, conduct, and Board ties to U.S. President Donald Trump and his son Donald Trump Jr.
- Immediately Refuse to trigger the contract options for the remaining 4,900 drones to Unusual Machines, until FULL Supply Chain SOVEREIGNTY is GUARANTEED.
- Immediately Enforce strict domestic sourcing requirements on all defence procurement contracts.
- Immediately hold Accountable all Individuals who represent the Company, including any Draganfly Inc. Owners, any individual(s) hired as advisors, consultants or liaisons, and all individual Board Members of Draganfly Inc.
Stop this Affront to Canadian Sovereignty, and naked abuse of Canadian Taxpayer funds.
Sincerely,”
HK Samantha Jones:
Thank you Charlie!
You were right on this!
I called Draganfly.
I called my MP.
I called Carneys constituency office in Napean.
I emailed prime ministers office.
I called Laura Babcock and left her a msg.
I called McGuinty’s office and left a msg.
I emailed Minster of defense.
Did I forget anybody?
Ken Kohler:
Forgive me Charlie for borrowing from your piece to pen this email to Email sent to McGuinty, cc PM and Kody Blois at 1254 hrs (Atl) today:
Dear Mr. McGuinty:
The Prime Minister’s announcement to increase Canadian drone capacity massively from 2,000 units to two million in just two years was a potentially game-changing moment for Canadian sovereignty. As a former 42-year serving officer in the RCAF, I welcomed the move as one contributing to national security.
Not so fast!
Draganfly Technologies hired former Canadian generals and military lobbyists to promote their technology in Ottawa. They subsequently secured a $24.5 million deal to build 5,000 drones.
The kicker is that, although Draganfly promoted itself as a Saskatoon success story, the company is now run out of Tampa, Florida, with a Board featuring Chris Miller, former Trump-appointed Secretary of Defence and Thomas Modly, Trump’s former Secretary of the Navy. It has also surfaced that Donald Trump Jr. has purchased a stake in the company as has an unnamed U.S. investment fund.
How is it possible to pretend that a company run out of Tampa, stacked with Trump family and allies, could even pretend to meet the government’s promised commitment to create a Canadian supply chain?
This is not a game-changing moment for Canadian sovereignty. This is the opposite: another sell-off of our national security. Canadian means Canadian, not simply a Canadian frontman.
This contract must be reconsidered.
Sincerely,
Ken Smith
IM Citizen:
Here’s the email McGinty got from me yesterday. Not even an auto reply yet.
Subject: Drones and Don Jr??
What are the guardrails to protect our MILITARY FROM THE TRUMP REGIME.
DRAGANFLY RECEIVED TAXPAYERS’ MONEY ONLY TO BE BOUGHT UP BY AN American company with interests from Don Jr??? These are the people we need protecting from! It’s like selling the henhouse to the fox?! We look SO STUPID!
No more Canadian funds for Canadian companies selling out to FOREIGN INTERESTS. I want this contract rolled back and STOPPED.
MY PUBLIC MONEY STAYS IN CANADA.

Both Chris Miller and Thomas Modly, as goons for Piggy, have surely already given him all the info he needs on a daily briefing. Adding Jr to the mix only adds another source of corruption on an immediate basis. There is nothing that orange baboon has not already wrapped his warped brain around to benefit himself. Any “former” or current Piggy sycophant should be nowhere near any business, in the US, Canada or worldwide. They have repeatedly proven themselves to be amoral, totally corrupt, liars and determined thieves.
Right up Harper and Carney’s alley!![]()
Ken Smith:
We can’t forget that the very threat we are preparing to defend against is the US regime, so we must protect our technologies as well.
too late. I bet Carney has sold or given (in exchange for future favours) all our valuable tech to Palantir, Trump, Putin, etc. Or Harper sold / gave it away via Carney.![]()
betty:
Oh hell no. Let’s flood Minister McGuinty’s email account and phone line with a big “hell no” on this. Canada should not be dealing with criminals and those helping in one form or the other who kill innocent people in Gaza and Ukraine. What the hell are we doing. I’m mad as hell. Surely, there are companies that we can deal with to purchace drones, that not a single scumbag from the USA crime family is not involved in. First of all, they stole the technology and they are not the best. Our Prime Minister and other Canadian officials need to make sure that this does not happen.
Laurie Sinclair:
I just wrote a letter to the Minister. Why on earth would Canada get involved with the Trump family in any way? I am willing to pay more taxes to keep Canada strong and free. And to do this we would approve that it is ok to support a convicted criminal leading his crime family to extreme wealth. I don’t support criminals unless they have been rehabilitated and so far I’ve not seen any proof of this. Supporting Trump in any way would destroy our sovereignty.
John Griffin:
KEEP THAT SCUMBAG LITTLE COKEHEAD SNAKE OUTTA CANADA!! 💩💩 HE’S A PUSSY LIKE HIS KIDDIE CLIMBING FATHER!! 😳😳💩💩
Ian Davis:
Yesterday I wrote to my MP about this, asking that our government look into the accuracy of the facts presented. I also posted this story on my own Facebook page. We should not be allowing nations we do not trust to profit from and control our future here in Canada. And we should not be adding to the Trump family wealth, consequence of being conned by them.
Ken Smith:
Especially a regime that treats secret information as bargaining chips………..scum of the earth…!
Ken Harten:
Sad part is that investment money can come from anywhere. This is strictly a profit strategy for Trump jr. and cronies. More loot for the grifters. I would like to know when Trump learned of this investment opportunity. Did he have insider knowledge it was about to happen so he got in early? How much of a stake does his investment firm have in Draganfly? 10%, 25% or more? Shame on Carney’s government for not vetting Draganfly’s investors more closely. Are we to learn later that German neo-nazis own a block of shares in the firms building our German subs? Our billionaire class and pension funds need to step up for Canadians and perhaps shave a point or two off their mandated profit margins.
John Lathangue:
I just about choked when I saw D Jr’s mug on the TV last night, as an investor in the company who is part of our military procurement program. Talk about letting the fox guard the chicken coup. To make it worse, I saw David McGuinty dismissing reporters questions regarding concerns of the Trump connection. Really! Donald Trump doing everything in his power to destroy Canada’s economy, so he can do a hostile take over of our country and yet our government is apparently ok with letting Trump’s son, a member of the Trump mob, to have a financial stake in a company, which is going to manufacture drones for our military. I question the source of money, being used for this investment. Talk about insanity!
Geoffrey Hart:
Excellent reporting, as always. For readers who are wondering what to say, here’s what I said in my letter:
It has come to my attention that Canada’s government has signed a $24.5 million contract to purchase military drones with Draganfly Technologies. Although this is nominally a Saskatchewan company, it is in fact operated from Tampa, Florida, with a board that features Trump-aligned members.
This is unacceptable on many levels, but perhaps the most important is that we should not make such an important component of our national defence subject to control by a nation that has expressed its desire to subjugate Canada as the 51st state*. This would be equivalent to purchasing Canadian-manufactured firearms and relying on the U.S. to provide the bullets.
- Following the examples of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and D.C., we would almost certainly have no right to elect representatives to the Senate and House.
I strongly urge you to reconsider this contract. Cancelling it and paying a penalty fee will be less costly in the long run than having a defense industry that is dependent on enemies of the Canadian state and that can cripple our defences without any warning by witholding crucial parts or flipping a “kill switch” that disables the technology.
