Why the hell is Toronto Star leading with the Nazi MAGAts that want to take Canada when a majority of Americans don’t? PS Trump didn’t “capture” Maduro, he illegally kidnapped him, and murdered nearly 100 people to do so, to steal another country’s oil. He’s a fucking crook, no hero. The main result for me from Mario Canseco’s survey is that Trump’s a stupid rude fucker that doesn’t give a shit about the law, other nations, their citizens or Americans.

The other four fifths of us would prefer the US become a Canadian province.

I would tell America to go f*ck itself, but it already is.

Dear Americans:

When you say “The Republicans won’t stop Trump and there’s nothing we can do”, please understand that the rest of us hear “Sorry you may have to fight WW3 against us but it is what it is”.

‪So, there’s a strategy available for dealing with the rogue US.

  • Boycott
  • Divest
  • Sanction

Also,

  • Call in their debt
  • Kick out their military bases
  • Require visas for American travelers
  • Form new alliances and trade partnerships without them
  • Move UN headquarters

A reminder that Trump is an immature, petulant dick.

Canadians who support Trump at this point are edging pretty close to betraying their country, is my considered opinion

100% agree. Stop going to Disneyland, ball games, Myrtle Beach, FL, Las Vegas. Stop saying it’s on your bucket list. Grow up and stop thinking about yourself. Cut the cord!

Nearly a fifth of Americans now ‘prefer’ that Canada become a U.S. state or territory, poll suggests, But the majority of Americans support the sovereignty of Canada and the autonomy of Greenland, the Research Co. survey found by Kevin Jiang, Jan. 20, 2026, Toronto Star

17 per cent of Americans support Canada becoming either a territory or the 51st State of the U.S. — but two-thirds stand by its sovereignty, a new poll suggests.

The findings come amid U.S. President Donald Trump‘s ambitions to seize Greenland, a self-governing territory of fellow NATO member Denmark, after illegally kidnappingcapturing former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and toppling his government earlier this month.WTF are you talking about? Maduro’s gov’t continues with his VP. FFS. Canadian media are Nazi collaborators glorifying a kid raping mad man’s crimes

But according to the survey by public opinion pollster Research Co., most respondents don’t want the U.S. to take over Greenland. Nor do they want Panama, Cuba or Mexico under American control.Of course they don’t! Americans are starting to realize Trump serves Putin and that USA can’t take care of USA. It’s bankrupting itself under Trump giving$ billions to Israel to finance its genocide of Palestinians, bomb and terrorize other countries “white” Christian Zionists hate, and $trillions to fucking billionaires.

“It’s a topic I never thought I would have to ask about,” said Mario Canseco, the president of Research Co. and author of the survey. “Americans are not looking at (Greenland) the same way Trump is looking at it.”Of course not~! Trump doesn’t not America or Americans, not even his misogynistic racist selfish ultra stupid MAGATs. He serves himself, his corrupt family, Putin, and Israel, and the rich fuckers that got him into power and give him endless bribes to keep him swooning of them and deregulating for their enrichment

Published Monday, Canseco’s survey polled a representative sample of 1,002 adults across the U.S. from Jan 13 to 15. Here’s what it found.

What do Americans think of Canada becoming the 51st State?

Although 66 per cent of respondents said they’d “prefer” Canada remain an independent nation, 10 per cent said they’d like to see it become a territory of the U.S. and seven per cent its 51st State.

Republicans were more likely to want Canada absorbed into the States, with 13 per cent wanting it to become a territory and 10 per cent an American state. But despite Trump’s messaging, 64 per cent of Republicans support Canada’s independence.

“It’s definitely a larger number (of people wanting Canada under U.S. control) than what we would have found prior to Donald Trump becoming president,” Canseco said. “The number is definitely significant. I mean, it’s one out of five. Not it’s not you asshat. What are you and the Toronto Star trying to do? Fuck Canadians over? Trump lies non stop. His idiot inhumane repuglican base are lazy and hate-filled like Trump, so they believe him.

Not the 51st state but a vassal state: What Donald Trump’s national security strategy envisions for Canada

“It doesn’t suggest that the public is completely on side, but there’s a group that could be growing,” he said. “I’m curious to ask this in six months and see where the situation stands.”

Last March, an Angus Reid Institute poll asked a similar question and found 60 per cent of Americans had “no interest in seeing” Canada join the U.S., while 32 per cent were “interested but only if Canadians want to.”

Canadians don’t want to, if the 90 per cent of Canucks who were against annexation in the poll were anything to go by.

Most Americans don’t want to take over Greenland

Trump has said the U.S. “needs” Greenland, but most Americans don’t seem to agree.

Fifty-six per cent of Americans wanted the autonomous territory to stay autonomous, while 16 per cent were in support of it becoming a U.S. territory and seven per cent a U.S. state.

Canseco noted the situation is drastically different from the beginning of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, when a majority of the population was in support of military action based on false claims that the nation possessed weapons of mass destruction.

“It’s not as if (Trump’s) got the public on his side on something that is significantly more drastic than going into Iraq,” he said. The deranged pedophile convicted felon doesn’t give a shit what Americans or his MAGAt base think, he only thinks of himself and pays back, when the villains that gave him the money to get into power (both times).

What Americans think of U.S. expansionism

Europe warns of ‘dangerous downward spiral’ after Trump threatens tariffs over Greenland

Similarly, few Americans want Cuba, Panama or Mexico under U.S. control, the survey found.

More specifically, 57 per cent supported Cuba as an independent nation while 22 per cent would prefer it as a U.S. territory or state. For Panama, 54 per cent respected its sovereignty while 24 per cent would rather have it under American control.

67 per cent of Americans supported Mexico as an independent nation — slightly more than those in support of Canada — while 10 per cent wanted it as a territory and five per cent as a state.

Meanwhile, 24 per cent of respondents said they’d prefer if the unincorporated American territory of Puerto Rico became an independent nation. 17 per cent wanted it as a state, while 43 per cent would rather Puerto Rico remain a territory.

“I think the real message, more than anything, is the element of the U.S. once again becoming the world police man is not something that is resonating with the public,” Canseco said, noting a disconnect between policymakers and the general public.

“They are probably more concerned about the housing situation, the cost of living and the price of gas.”

Methodology

The results were based on an online study conducted from Jan. 13 to Jan. 15, 2026, among 1,002 adults in the United States. The data has been statistically weighted according to U.S. census figures for age, gender and region. The margin of error, which measures sample variability, is +/- 3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
