Freedom is a right that has been cruelly taken away from them.
I hope that one day Palestinians can live in peace like everyone else
@nurdogandiyorki:
The Palestinian flag is going to fly at Toronto City Hall for the first time in history.
Shane Martínez @martinezdefence a lawyer at ICJP Canada, speaks:
@nccm:
Today, after NCCM and other organizations appeared as intervenors, a judge dismissed the injunction application brought by an organization trying to halt the Palestine flag raising at City Hall.
We will have more to say soon.

@KavitaAlguMD:
The first ever flag raising by @cityoftoronto for the State of Palestine.
FREE FREE PALESTINE

Beautiful to see some moments of genuine joy as @cityoftoronto prepares to fly the flag of the State of Palestine for the first time.

James Baldwin:
“I’m not anti-Semitic at all, but I am anti-Zionist. I don’t believe they have the right, after 3,ooo years, to reclaim the land with western bombs and guns on biblical injunction.”
@Shaemuselli:
An Incredibly historic moment to show solidarity with Palestinians who have suffered over 77 years of illegal occupation, ethnic cleansing & land theft. To show solidarity with Palestinians while they try to survive a genocide for 2 yrs, is only human. Thx Toronto 4 this
@martinezdefence:
TIME CHANGE: 10:00am
A forthcoming court ruling at approx. 9am tomorrow — sparked by Tafsik’s attempt to block the Palestinian flag-raising — has shifted the anticipated start time to 10am. The City of Toronto, ICJP Canada and NCCM are challenging the injunction motion.

@ICJPalestine:
Join ICJP & allies to commemorate the 37th Anniversary of the Palestinian Declaration of Independence by raising the Palestinian flag at Toronto City Hall – for the first time ever.

Horrifying
On the interview below about how Israel treats Palestinian prisoners![]()
@DropSiteNews:
Palestinian Prisoner Begs Lawyer Not to Visit:
“They Rape Me When You Come”
Journalist Samira Mohyeddin:
This is the same client in your video?
Israeli Lawyer Ben Marmarelli:
It’s my only client.
Mohyeddin:
So that same client is being brutalized in the way you described every time you go to see him?
Marmarelli:
Yes. And I want to say something about the rape. Everyone talks to me about the rape like it’s the big issue. The rape is not the big issue. The rape is the least of his problems.
The issue is the conditions of the prisoners and the rape is just one of the many pieces of the puzzle which is Israel torturing the Palestinian prisoners. The sodomy is just what it it happens once in a while for five minutes… He showed me boot marks on his back, the deep red line on his wrists where the handcuffs cut circulation, bruises all over his body.
The rape happens once every few weeks — and I now understand it happens especially when I come to visit him. Palestinian political prisoners don’t get any visits for years. Their only connection to the outside world is a lawyer’s visit.
It’s gotten to the point where he asks me not to come anymore because every time I come, they rape him.
LAWYER TELLS THE TRUTH OF WHAT IS HAPPENING IN ISRAELI PRISONS

@yurdoor:
But Ashkenazi Jews are descended from converts so their DNA does not contain any ancient Hebrew at all unlike the Palestinians. Wait, is this why they’re trying to genocide them and where their pathological hatred of them comes from & why DNA tests are restricted in Israel?
