Jason Kenney, lying little shit, created Alberta’s separatist monster to serve his greed for power.

@mynamesnotgordy.bsky.social:

Putting together a group of volunteers to drive out to Alberta to help 25% of the province’s population pack up and move out of the country.

Who’s in?

There’ll be Pineapple Pizza and Molson Exports once we’re done.

@ryankbrook.bsky.social:

Who won the vote?

No one.

Nobody won. It was a big ugly loss across the board.

The part of the CBC commentary that burned me the most was the one person saying ‘we can’t call the separatists losers’.

We sure as shit can.Yes. and, we can also call them traitors, liars, white supremacist racist shits

Anyone that thinks Alberta came out of this looking like a shining star is living in a particularly wild state of denial.

@deonandan.bsky.social:

Dear Alberta: way to waste hundreds of millions of dollars on a pointless referendum.

@journodale.bsky.social:

Dear Canadian pundit class,

You DO NOT under any circumstances have to give Jason Kenney any credit for his work on the remain side of the referendum. He created this mess by legitimizing the separatists after inviting them into his party and trying to use them to leverage the federal government.

@cherrybombr.bsky.social:

not to mention Jason Kenney is from the province everyone in Alberta is supposed to hate but they voted for him en mass anyway.

@canadianpolling.bsky.social:

Get absolutely fucked separatists

Glad we can put this in the trash finallyNope, Smith will call for another waste of millions referendum vote and another and another. The fuckers are getting paid to destroy Canada, separation is just their anthem.

My projected referendum results:

“We want to be racist, but we want to be racist Canadians.”

The aftermath of the referendum starts now

by Dale Smith,

While the votes for the referendum are being tallied at the time of this writing, the question is mostly how badly the separatists got stomped, but also what comes next. Even if they get roflstomped, as the kids say, this won’t go away quietly, because the separatists are now better organized, they have voter lists, and they are organizing to consolidate power in the UCP, which means Danielle Smith’s days are very likely numbered. But that also isn’t stopping people like Pierre Poilievre and his chosen Alberta referendum appointee, Dane Lloyd, from feeding more grievance porn to the separatists to keep feeding their movement.

This is exactly the problem with the "Lead Not Leave" crowd and the federal Conservatives in this referendum debate—they refuse to disavow any of the manufactured grievances, so they just keep feeding the separatists' machine. www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/opi…

But it’s not just the separatists, but also the other questions from Smith’s noxious nine questions, which has a lot of immigrants worried about their futures, and is creating a worse environment for everyone involved. Scapegoating immigrants is a Very Bad Thing, but don’t worry, Poilievre thinks he’s clever when he says “It’s not the immigrants, it’s Liberal immigration policy!” Yeah, that’s not what people hear, and frankly, it’s not the lesson that the white nationalists that make up the separatists are taking. The fact that Poilievre doesn’t get that isn’t surprising, but he’s also not nearly as clever as he thinks he is, and that’s a problem.

Meanwhile, the Carney government’s responses are not exactly encouraging either. It sure sounds like they are already capitulating on the immigration question, talking with the province about how they can do more to accommodate Alberta’s wishes (remember two years ago when Smith complained she needed [MORE] IMMIGRANTS and that Justin Trudeau was hobbling their economic growth as a result?) This just rewards their bad behaviour and scapegoating. And now Carney himself is essentially opening the door to constitutional talks, but says he needs there to be consensus, but this just sounds to me like inviting trouble. Premiers can’t even get their shit together long enough to finally deal with interprovincial trade barriers, and now you want them to start finding ways to come up with constitutional amendments? How is this remotely responsible given the urgency of the crisis that Carney keeps insisting we’re in. Completely irresponsible behaviour, and I would say he should know better, but it’s not like he’s exactly paying too much attention to how federalism is working these days.By watching Carney’s actions (killing Indigenous rights), and who he clings to (USA Project 2025’s Kevin Roberts, Danielle Smith and Steve IDU Hideous Harper, …) he’s racist as fuck.

Carney = Harper Con who hates Canada as much as Harper does and I believe are working together to sell off Canada’s riches, then give us – the dregs – to Nazi USA has been pandering to Smith and these Grievance Conservatives..giving them everything they ask for. I wouldn’t put it past him to cooperate with Smith if some of these get a majority.

@gammarae.design:

Alberta results:

Seperation: overwhelming no

Racism: tacit yes

Constitutional amendments: tacit no

Provincial hate policies should override federal rights: tacit yesmakes sense, Alberta is the most “christian” or religious jurisdiction in Canada; more religion always brings and creates more hate.
