Her name was Emily Pike. She was a 14 year old member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe, known for her passion for painting & drawing, with dreams to study art in college. Her dismembered remains were discovered in trash bags on Feb 14, 2025, off Hwy 60 near milepost 277, northeast of Globe Az.

It’s hard to imagine how someone could do this to anyone, let alone a child.

While the acts may vary case to case: it’s all the more infuriating when realizing this case is one of many against Indigenous Peoples.
