I have lived in and loved Alberta for over 40 years, but Canada is my home and country and will always be. Alberta will never be my country, and I will never be American. I detest Nazis. I do not want to separate, besides, I know legally it is not possible.
You and yours, that hate Canada and Canadians so much, need to take your hatred and rage and fascism and move to USA, Hungary, Israel, Argentina or some other fascist country. Take your pick.
You need to quit your dreadful failed leadership before there’s nothing left of Alberta to try to separate. I see you and your cruel nature; I expect harming the vulnerable and being a smirking bully like Trump gives you orgasms.
You need to take responsibility for your lies and corruption, whining and endless expensive failures and flops, and stop blaming UCP’s and your fuck ups, ego and greed on the feds.
Most Canadians are not MAGAts or Fucker Truckers; we know the province of Alberta is already great, and gets more from the feds than most other provinces and much more than we give back.
We also know Alberta gov’ts, including yours, are controlled by foreign oil and gas corporations, and are corrupt abusive shit shows. You, TBA and the UCP are the problem, not the rest of Canada and not the feds. Deal with it.

Smith loves Ayn Rand, who espoused a philosophy of naked selfishness (called it a virtue) in the service of elevating the interests of the elite individual above the masses. It’s no surprise that she seeks power at any cost, even the welfare of the province. We have never had a worse premier.

Here’s my single-tweet explanation for the Alberta referendum movement.
Our problem is that a subset of the population in most democracies has concluded current rules and institutions do not work in their favour, and they consistently reward politicians who promise to rewrite or disregard them entirely. Smith’s self-interest is rewarded by speaking to that group.
