Alberta is out of its greedy racist fascist mind. Is classless Smith abusing First Nations for protecting Canada and Canadians from her betrayals and traitorous separatists? The tanker ban makes a bitumen pipeline to BC’s northern coast a war. Canadians will not let traitors Smith and Carney kill the tanker ban with their Nazi MOU.

Every time I hear talk of a north #pipeline to the BC Coast it gets me so angry, I think about the #wildlife I have photographed on the #westcoast The rest of the country fail to understand the fragile & beautiful coastal environment at risk. They think it’s just like the typical pipeline going through a flat field in the prairies & that lack of perspective is what we need to shift.

@leeiverson.bsky.social‬:

CBC: plays a clip of BC First Nations chief saying their goal is no pipeline and no tankers on the north coast

Danielle Smith: we’re committed to working with First Nations – but we don’t respect their right to say no.Smith doesn’t respect anyone.

Oh yeah that’ll work

@xxjammerxx.bsky.social‬:

if mark carney ends the tanker moratorium or pushes thru a pipeline on the north coast of BC, i promise to become a terrorist that makes the ELF look like greenpeace.

beesandtrees.bsky.social‬:

Still talking about pipelines! Oil tankers on north west coast can never be allowed.

@canadarising.bsky.social‬:

Listening to #Alberta government people ( current & past ) talk about a bitumen pipeline to the North Coast of #BC is painful
They always talk about #Indigenous equity partnership as if all it takes is $
The Coastal nations don’t care about $
A #bitumen spill can’t be cleaned up in the ocean

Not sure how many times this needs to be said….

THE PIPELINE TO THE BC NORTH COAST WILL NEVER EVER BE BUILT

Doesn’t matter what @mark-carney.bsky.social or daniellesmith say or do

If the tanker ban is lifted or tinkered with there will be a return of the blockades & battles

Not nation building

‪To be clear ( again ) a bitumine pipeline to the North Coast of B.C. will NEVER be built

I fear that Prime Minister @mark-carney.bsky.social is getting really flawed advice from advisorsCarney has shown us his evil and that he does not serve Canada or Canadians, he serves USA and the American rich. He doesn’t give a shit about other life or the environment, and certainly not the BC coast or the First Nations who live there and guard the coast. He just cares about lying to the Pope and making the rich richer.

Premier Eby is telling the truth when he says all projects in BC are at risk if this is forced on First Nations

‬‪@bcreality.bsky.social‬:

Premier Smith slagging BC for their criticism of any plans for an oil pipeline to the north coast, because of safety and environmental concerns. Imagine the Feds swooping in partnering with BC to build wind/solar farms in Alberta’s beloved protected vista areas? You know a clean energy carve out??

@flyflicker.bsky.social‬:

The last time a dilbit pipeline to the north coast of BC was proposed, the company produced a map to show how “safe” it would be.

Left – The map shown to the public showing clear sailing from Kitimat to the open ocean.
Right – The actual route that tankers would navigate.

See the deception?

aronrmecfs.bsky.social‬:

Albertans should be asked if they support bitumen oil spills in BC North coast?

Carney is working on pipeline east & north.

Not good enough for Smith, she & her American Republicans priority is another Exxon Valdez oil spill on our beautiful coast ignoring BC First Nations/British Columbians/Canadians

@marychipman.bsky.social‬:

2 days after Elizabeth May saved @mark-carney.bsky.social’s bacon by voting for the budget on the back of backroom climate policy promises, the govt has signed a MOA with Alberta on a pipeline running thru BC, with emissions caps reduced & exemptions for shipping oil on the north coast.In my view, Elizabeth May is a con, has always been a con, always will be. She sided with Carney’s evil Harper Con Budget, because she supports it. Her greens are cons, just controlled opposition.

This is why BC doesn't want a new pipeline from the north. Our wildlife has enough problems staying alive without the threat of a bitumen spill.Dead humpback whale reported floating off Vancouver Island coastnanaimobulletin.com/2026/06/04/d…

‪@shaner38.bsky.social‬:

Here’s how I know Danielle Smith will not find a private proponent for a BC Coast pipeline; Donald Trump would rather invade Venezuela than reopen Keystone XL construction. That tells me all I need to know about the financial viability of a new oil pipeline project in North America.

@flyflicker.bsky.social‬:

… there will be no oil pipeline to the BC north coast. Period.

‪@bakergeorget.bsky.social‬:

Ottawa and Edmonton have been told, repeatedly for more than a decade, that there will be no Indigenous support on the North Coast for any oil pipeline project. Coast Tsimshian, Haida, Heiltsuk and recently held a press conference with BC premier David Eby that this is a no.

dezene.me‬:

From what I’ve been able to read in the media, it isn’t simply that BC is refusing to participate.

Neither BC nor First Nations were even asked to participate in bitumen pipeline and oil-tanker-on-the-north-coast discussions up to this point.

@sobittersosweet.bsky.social‬:

The Ottawa-Alberta MOU is nothing more than a pipedream – Coastal First Nations

@RussDiabo responding to the Bloomberg news below:

Lol!

Bloomberg @business:

Alberta is set to propose a “general corridor” for a planned new million-barrel-a-day oil pipeline to the northern British Columbia coast rather than a specific route, the provincial minister of Indigenous relations said.

Alberta to Propose ‘General Corridor’ for Pipeline to West Coast by Robert Tuttle, June 9, 2026, Bloomberg

Alberta is set to propose a “general corridor” for a planned new million-barrel-a-day oil pipeline to the northern British Columbia coast rather than a specific route, the provincial minister of Indigenous relations said.

The province is considering a general path to the northwest BC coast near Prince Rupert for the new pipeline, with the specific route to be determined later through consultations with Indigenous communities, Minister Rajan Sawhney said in an interview at the Global Energy Show in Calgary. The proposal will be with the federal government’s Major Projects Office by July 1. …

From racist rude Alberta government’s website:

Pathways carbon capture project

Building a pipeline to the west coast of British Columbia will go hand-in-hand with advancing the Pathways carbon capture project, an initiative designed to reduce Alberta’s heavy oil emissions intensity below the global average.The only things Alberta govt’s are good at is lying, abusing the environment and our rights, and betraying us to American Nazis. Carbon Capture is an industry scam, it increases emissions and is outrageously expensive. It’s sole purpose is to help corrupt polluted gov’ts like Danielle Smith’s and law violating polluting bitumen companies, mostly American, lie to the public, eg: “to reduce Alberta’s heavy oil emissions intensity below the global average.”

This graph below from the IPCC 2023 report, note Carbon Capture at the very bottom:
