Vancouver Island Water Watch Coalition is hosting their 3rd Water Forum on May 23/24 , 2014 in Courtenay, Filberg Centre.
It will cost not one penny to attend….we provide lunch and snacks as well. Just mark your calendars and please be sure to join us. … Our Emcee for both days is Kel Kelley.
Friday night – doors open at 5:00 p.m.. Damien Gillis will begin at 6:00 p.m.. The film- FRACTURED LAND – will be shown and then there will be a questions and answer period. Following this – Todd Butler, musician and comedien extraordinaire will entertain for about an hour and a half.
Saturday – We have a full schedule and will be starting promptly at 8:45 a.m. with introductions. Our speakers (Maude Barlow, Andrew Nikiforuk, Jessica Ernst and Ingmar lee) will then present. The floor will open following their speeches for questions of the speakers. Lunch will then be served. Between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m. the bus tours will leave the centre for a return between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m. We will then gather together in Regions so you can discuss…WHAT NEXT??
The City of Courtenay is on the Comox Valley Water Supply System, passed a resolution in March 2006 declaring water as a public good:
