Georgetown University Law Center students are detailing which law firms have caved and which have stood up to the Trump regime. They have created this spreadsheet

It’s mind boggling how anyone could call themselves a lawyer when they support the dismantling of the U.S. Constitution

US Anthropologist here. I lost my condo to criminal t in his 1st term. I’m losing my subsidized housing to him now along w/my income/healthcare/food sources as a retiree. It didn’t help to see what was coming from my education. I’ve lived in sorrow + activist-despair for 10 yrs. Death will be kind.My condolences. Nazil Musk/Trump/Putin and their MAGAts are beyond cruel.

NEWS: More than 500 law firms sign on to an amicus brief in support of Perkins Coie amid the firm’s legal battle against Trump’s executive order targeting its business. Read the list of firms that signed the brief authored by former SG Don Verrilli: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us…
And here’s the text of the amicus brief filed on behalf of more than 500 law firms: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us…
A few notable signatories include:
- Covington & Burling, which was targeted by an executive order but has not filed suit
- Arnold & Porter
- Freshfields US
@annabower.bsky.social:
LOTS of Big Law firms names conspicuously absent from this list, however…..
Nicholas Weaver @ncweaver.skerry-tech.com:
But did Saul Goodman and Associates sign?
BBT-2025 @bbt-2025.bsky.social:
Yes. Because Vince Gillian and everyone associated with any of his past and future projects will place their business with one or more of these firms. GUARANTEED
@dougmelamed.bsky.social:
It’s wonderful that so many firms signed on.
I hope everyone also notes the large number of large, wealthy firms that did not sign. There are enough to constitute a new Hall of Shame.
valpovalpo.bsky.social @valpovalpo.bsky.social:
Just scanning this list and sadly,but unsurprisingly, very few of the big national firms are on here (I see freshfields and Arnold & porter but that’s about it). Depressing that the 2 firms at which I practiced are absent

The one I spent 36 years at too…wish I were surprised

I noticed a lot of Minnesota firms on that list. They have a very active and connected bar. It may be possible that creating a more active and communicative bar within each of the states might provide more support for these firms to stand up for each other.

This is a very good point.
