Prof David Miller: “We must never give in” to Zionism’s unlawful attacks globally against our right to Freedom of Expression/Free Speech. Zionism was defined decades ago as racism. Bristol U, in my view, by appealing this, you show yourselves to be racist genocidaires aiding Bibi’s crimes of mass murder and inhumane acts, etc. How much in “donations” are Zionists giving you to do this legal evil?
In October 2021, Professor David Miller lost his job at Bristol University after a concerted attempt from the Israel lobby. In February 2024, an employment tribunal found that Miller was unfairly dismissed and subjected to discrimination because his ‘anti-Zionist beliefs qualified as a philosophical belief and as a protected characteristic pursuant to section 10 Equality Act 2010’. But now Brisotl University are appealing that verdict and he needs your support. Here he talks about how long it is taking to resolve his case and how important it is to take on attacks.
On 1 October 2021, Professor David Miller was unjustly sacked by the University of Bristol from his position as Professor of Political Sociology for expressing his research-based views on Islamophobia and the role that the Zionist movement plays in encouraging it.
On 5 February 2024, the Employment Tribunal handed down its judgment, determining that Professor Miller was wrongfully dismissed and discriminated against on the basis of his anti-Zionist beliefs.
However, Bristol University is now appealing that decision. If they win, they will undo everything we’ve achieved. But if we successfully defend our case, we will strengthen the protection for anti-Zionist beliefs in Britain.
