Three things are relevant here:
- Nearly all of Alberta is made up on land covered by treaties between First Nations and the government of Canada.
- Land claims are a federal issue, not provincial.
- Mineral rights were never surrendered in those treaties.

Watching Trump go after his supposed enemies is like 1937 Stalin without the firing squads. All paranoia. All show trial. All the time. Loomer plays her part perfectly.
But Loomer is also very concerned about the Canadian election.
The MAPLE MAGA candidate Pierre Poilievre is slipping in the polls. On a recent podcast, she fretted about the steps Donald Trump needed to take to ensure that Prime Minister Mark Carney does not win the election.
This would represent a serious threat to the integrity of our democracy.
The MAGA Strategy Comes North
A similar scheme was expressed to the Trump administration by another former conspiracy media host – Danielle Smith, the current premier of Alberta. The difference between the two women is that Loomer has a lot of sway over Trump.
And now, Preston Manning, the Godfather of Canadian far-right politics, has stepped up to help.
Last week, he penned an op-ed in which he speculated that the country would break up if Canadians dared to vote for Mark Carney.

Vote for Poilievre or lose your country.
Having to resort to blackmail in the midst of a federal election sends a very troubling message. And it speaks volumes about the state of Canada’s Conservative moment.
Canada is facing the biggest threat to our sovereignty in our history. Trump claims we don’t have a right to exist as a nation. He is looking for weaknesses and internal divisions. If we start fighting amongst ourselves, Trump’s plan to reduce Canada to a vassal territory, a 51st state, could be realized.
Manning knows this. And yet, there he was saying to his fellow Canadians – vote MAGA Maple or else.
The optics stink.Manning has always had a dead odour about him and his worshippers in my experience.
Canadians are coming together in an unprecedented way to defend our nation; the MAGA Maple crowd are looking to leverage this crisis even if it means breaking the country apart.In my view, MAGAts are wanna be rapists (of earth, and or women and kids), which is why they worship and voted into power, a con man convicted felon orange-painted rapist; Maple MAGAts are not much different. They are largely propagandized haters, filled with self righteous privileged evangelical and or white rage, using fabricated supremacy and or religion to bully others. Women are to blame for everything, so is DEI, only white men can rule the world and destroy it, because why? God says so, claim the hate-filled racist fucks – without ability to have an original or independent thought.
The Traitor Card
In the United States, citizens take an oath to protect their country from the threat of enemies, both foreign and domestic.
Canadians have always been more chill. We never thought we had to worry about such things. But here we are facing the clear choice between Vimy or Vichy.
I know where I stand. And I know where the people of Alberta and Saskatchewan stand as well. There is no group of people in the country more solid when push comes to shove.
That’s why I can’t wait to head west for a huge Resistance Rally in Edmonton.
Preston Manning and Danielle Smith are straw warriors. They claim to speak for an army of prairie separatists that simply does not exist in the numbers they would need to damage our nation’s future. But they are willing to undermine Canada during an unparalleled crisis.
This leads to the second problem with their strategy.
Every time the MAGA Morons shoot their mouth off, it sinks their candidate Pierre Poilievre even further. He keeps getting thrown off his message of attacking Carney by having to say he actually does believe in Canada.
It’s not a good look.

If they love USA so much, and think life is so much better there, why they hell don’t they pack their greedy bags and move? Because I believe they are not interested in moving, they know life is better here and much safer with our gun laws; they want to destroy Canada to serve their orange idiot blob, faithful servants of hate and fascism than they are. I am not concerned about her.
But I am deeply concerned about the alliance between the dark manipulators who drove the MAGA machine working overtime to influence the vote in Canada to bring in Mr. Evil’s mini twin – Pierre Poilievre.
Get set for a tidal wave of disinformation, folks. But don’t be thrown off.
We are better than the likes of Loomer, Manning and Smith.
