DOH said they were going to widely promote this 2-part program on fracking and health — a program that PSR PA and EHP helped create — but there is yet to be a public announcement or Health Alert Network (HAN) advisory on the Department’s HAN website.

Beginning this Thursday at 12:00 PM and continuing monthly, Penn State Project ECHO program will be offering a brand new series for 2025 on Environmental Determinants of Health.
The first two lectures (1/9/25 and 2/13/25) will cover “Caring for Persons Living and Working in Communities Involved in Oil and Natural Gas Extraction.” Julie Miller from the PA Department of Health will be presenting this topic which targets providers who practice in and around fracking operations in Pennsylvania and care for impacted residents and workers.
The program is designed for all health professionals but the general public is also invited to participate. Sign up today and send a message to your health provider urging them to sign up and participate in this important series that affects all Pennsylvanians.
