“It hasn’t worked”: Lebanese defiance of Zionist oppression 1 hr 2 Min w/ Karim, Ussama and Saree Makdisi by Psychic Militancy and Makdisi Street, April 27, 2026
In this episode, I sit down with @MakdisiStreet podcast hosts and brothers, Karim, Ussama and Saree Makdisi to discuss the current situation in Lebanon. We get into a lot, as you can imagine, including the US and Zionist interventionism in Lebanon, their attempt to foment sectarian hate and violence, internalized Arabophobia (and other potential explanations) and, importantly, how we believe they have not succeeded in whittling away solidarity or resistance.

This is an excellent discussion of life in Lebanon under continuous Israeli violence.
One especially salient point is that Israel will text non-Shia families who are sheltering displaced Shia families that the house will be bombed if the Shia aren’t kicked out. They make good on this threat.
The parallel to the Nazis threatening people who sheltered Jews during the Holocaust is obvious
