Encana Partners with Habitat for Humanity by John Dias, September 14, 2012, KREX News Room
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Nearly a dozen employees from the energy producing company, Encana, partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County on Friday, to help build homes for those in need. The group grabbed some paint brushes and hammers, and helped put finishing touches on a newly constructed home off of D Road in Grand Junction. “When we are able to get a concentrated group of people to spend the day with us, we are able to see so many things happen,” said Stacy Kelley, coordinator director of Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County. “We are able to accomplish so many tasks.” Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County has been around for nearly thirty years now, and has built 56 homes throughout the county. It’s the first time Encana has joined forces with the group.
