Peter Tindall, chairman of the group, said this week: “LHAG is as committed as ever to fight Europa’s appeal. “Our grounds for objection remain as relevant as ever. We believe the Bury Hill Wood site suits Europa for purely commercial reasons with scant regard to the fragility of the environment and we are in no doubt that less sensitive and more accessible sites are available from which to test the same reserves. LHAG has applied for, and been granted, Rule 6 Status by the Planning Inspectorate which allows it to be a full party to the inquiry alongside Europa and SCC. Legal representation may not be cheap but Mr Tindall added: “We are determined to do everything we can to preserve this protected area of the Surrey Hills and to avoid the significant detrimental impact Europa’s operations will have on the residents of Knoll Road.
