Irish officials began work Monday to excavate the site of a former church-run home for unmarried women and their babies where nearly 800 children died.
The excavation of the Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, County Galway, comes 11 years after research by historian Catherine Corless found that 796 children died at the institution.
A mass grave with the remains of babies and young children was later discovered hidden in a sewage tank on the grounds of the home, which was run by an order of Catholic nuns and closed in 1961.How many of these babies and kids were raped to death by staff/priests?
Experts will analyze exhumed remains and return them to family members in accordance with their wishes. Officials said remains which are unidentified will be buried with dignity and respect.
Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin described it as a “very difficult, harrowing story.”
“We have to wait to see what unfolds now as a result of the excavation,” he told The Associated Press.
In 2014, Corless uncovered death certificates for nearly 800 children who died at the home but could only find a burial record for one child, sparking an investigation.

The report said that there was “no evidence of public concern being expressed about conditions” in the homes or about the “appalling mortality among the children born in these homes.”That’s why the catholic religion is so secretive. Excavation works at the Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home are expected to continue for the next two years.

The Catholic Church is a horror movie and yet the Pope is a hero to so many, even after the Church was caught protecting pedophile priests and abusing & shaming young, pregnant women.
I just don’t get it.I think it’s because many humans are evil in their hearts and souls and like raping kids; worshipping evil makes them feel more saintly than they are.
