Although I’m an American, I agree with Canadians that U.S. President Donald Trump’s “51st state” pronouncements are idiotic and counterproductive.
But, give the devil his due: Trump often spurs people to reconsider previous assumptions that, on examination, don’t always make sense.
As the expression goes, he makes us think outside the box.
FFS. Adolf Idiot-Shit-in-Pants Orange does not. He fuels stupidity, mass illness and death via propaganda against science, health and environmental protections, hatred, violence, rape (including of kids) and turning women and girls into baby making machines with no rights, mass murder, land thefts anywhere and everywhere, and mass theft from ordinary Americans to give more riches to the billionaires that got him into power, gun violence and murder of opposition politicians, and much much worse. Case in point: the Canada-U.S. border.
Forget the 51st state nonsense, but consider instead a strategicya, right, I can read it without reading Mr. American Lawyer’s sleazy words: steal the Canadian lands with most valuable resources and access to resources for greedy fucking life destroying billionaires, most notably, for Putin land swap between the two countries. If done properly, it would be a win-win solution for both countries. We know from history that national borders are often subject to change. Sometimes those changes are imposed by one country on another, but sometimes they’re done voluntarily and in a mutually-beneficial way.
In the early 19th century, the U.S. grew enormously in one fell swoop when Napoleon offered to sell president Thomas Jefferson all of France’s Louisiana Territory (which extended from New Orleans to the Pacific Ocean), to finance his European wars. Many thought Jefferson insane to spend big money on “useless” land (as many also did years later when the U.S. purchased Alaska from Russia), but the deal was done and both countries were satisfied with it.
With that in mind: does a Canadian West Coast extending continuously from British Columbia to San Diego sound appealing?No! Adding anything from toxic gun worshipping America into Canada to steal our resources to serve Russia is just vile. NO. NO. And NO. Trump doesn’t want Canada for USA, he has to steal it to hand us over to Putin in exchange for keeping the painted orange convicted felon adjudicated rapist out of prison.
For years now, there’s been a progressive movement in the U.S. Pacific Northwest to secede from the U.S. and form an independent country called Cascadia, a movement that has gained steam during Trump’s presidencies. The people behind the Cascadia plan have usually seen their future territory as encompassing what is now Washington, Oregon and Northern California, but a Trump-hating southern California may be delighted to jump on the bandwagon.Great, let them do it, but then, the rest of USA will always end up voting Nazi (kid raping, women and girls hating, disgusting racist bigoted GOP). Canada wants no part of the gun worshipping and mass kid killing USA, except for a hate-filled minority, notably in Alberta, that have had their brains turned to mush by lying repuglican-serving quisling politicians like Harper, Moe, Smith, Morton (gun loving old white man con American, in photo below), Manning etc.
Overnight, annexing those three states would double Canada’s population and quadruple its gross domestic product, turning the “new” Canada into a global powerhouse.Fuck off! Canada isn’t some weak nation looking for a merger. We are proud of our distinct culture, stable democracy, universal healthcare, and strong social systems — precisely because they are not American. Suggesting we trade Alberta and the North for a few U.S. states because they’re “economically larger” is absurd. Our wealth isn’t just GDP — it’s stability, equity, and global respect.Yes, indeed.
