Has it dawned on anyone that this is a bad idea?
Anyone???Yes. But, no one is listening and no one in authority will speak up because humanity’s new Jesus is the super rich tech bro and Adolf Orange has new Anti Christian Bias spies lurking everywhere ready to pounce, arrest, rape and deport. But in reality, tech bros are cock roaches
Former Google CEO Tells Congress That 99 Percent of All Electricity Will Be Used to Power Superintelligent AI, “We need the energy in all forms, renewable, non-renewable, whatever.” April 12, 2025, Futurism
In Harlan Ellison’s disturbing 1967 short story “I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream,” a sentient superintelligence named AM has taken over the earth’s resources and exterminated humanity after combining the powers of three US, Soviet, and Chinese supercomputers into one. A small group of survivors has been kept alive for AM’s amusement, forced to roam the supercomputer’s endless electronic innards.
It’s a grim setting, but evidently one that billionaire tech tycoon and former Google CEO Eric Schmidt imagines for the future of humanity, if his comments to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce are any indication.

“What we need from you,” Schmidt told lawmakers, “is we need the energy in all forms, renewable, non-renewable, whatever. It needs to be there, and it needs to be there quickly.”Super stupid, bossy, greedy and a belligerent asshole. Great combo there dude.
The wannabe tech overlord was appearing in front of the government panel to talk AI — specifically, what the future holds for it.
“Many people project demand for our industry will go from 3 percent to 99 percent of total generation... an additional 29 gigawatts by 2027 and 67 more gigawatts by 2030,” If there’s any human life left on earth by then, greed of the idiot billionaires is fast creating mega catastrophes
he asserted. “If [China] comes to superintelligence first, it changes the dynamic of power globally, in ways that we have no way of understanding or predicting,” Schmidt said, even echoing the backstory of Ellison’s cautionary tale.
Typical Patriarchy in Action: Penis #1 threatens Penis #2 with Penis #3 ejaculating first. They never fucking change their ways, not even with AI at their Penis Tips. Irksome fools.
Schmidt’s American exceptionalism — the idea that the US is superior to all other global interests — is nothing new, and neither is his wild-eyed brand of AI hype. In 2023, CNN reported that “42 percent of CEOs say AI could destroy humanity in five to ten years.” Yet if today’s tech is any indication, AI has a long trek through the slop before it can even think of destroying humanity, let alone siphoning 99 percent of the earth’s energy.
What is new is Schmidt’s insistence to Congress that Chinese “superintelligence” is coming to get us, a claim Energy committee chair Brett Guthrie called a “sober assessment.”That’s how the tech idiots operate, violate and threaten us. Horrid douche fuckers.
That’s a troubling response, given that many AI researchers believe that type of computer intelligence is highly unlikely to hit anytime soon.
So why tell lawmakers the opposite?
Like many other tech billionaires, Schmidt has a personal interest not only in growing the AI industry, but also in scaring lawmakers into handing over the keys to the kingdom. It’s a strategy known as “corporate capture,” and it’s been a particularly effective move for Silicon Valley giants like Uber, which has been given almost complete authority to write its own rules.
When it comes to AI, tech tycoons are particularly anxious about energy, as the data centers powering their soon-to-be-superintelligent algorithms eat megawatts for breakfast. As the race to develop the most advanced AI model heats up, companies like Elon Musk’s xAI are resorting to less-than-legal means to avoid waiting for pesky EPA rulings and bothersome power grid assessments.
Late last year, Schmidt was caught hiding direct investments in AI startups throughout his tenure as chairman of the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence — no doubt a huge conflict of interest, but “technically legal,” according to ethics experts.bros are rich enough, rule of law lives up their asses, long ago it choked to death.
Eat your heart out, Ellison.
Grok You: Elon Musk Reportedly Doing Something Horrid to Power His AI Data Center, “This is all preventable.” by Joe Wilkins, April 11, 2025, Futurism

It’s no secret that Elon Musk’s wealth is staggering. At the time of writing, he’s worth over $325 billion. To give that number a sense of scale, that’s $62 billion more than the total annual salary of every worker in Michigan combined — all 4.3 million of them.
So why is he powering his data centers with rinky-dink portable generators?’cause he’s a rinky dinky stingy idiot?
New aerial surveillance footage obtained by the Southern Environmental Law Center has found that Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, is using 35 methane gas generators to power its “Colossus” supercomputer facility, the backbone of its flagship Grok. That’s 20 more generators than the 15 xAI filed permits for, and 35 more than it was approved to use.Like I said earlier, rule of law lives in up tech bros’ asses. PS Grok is even more stupid than its master
The data center, nestled in historic south Memphis, came online last September, despite protests from community leaders.
AI data centers are notoriously loud, and hog water and electricity like a mid-sized American city. Case in point, the local utility company, Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) estimates the Memphis facility will soon be sucking up one million gallons of water per day, as well as 150 megawatts of power, once it reaches its full power. And nothing Grok provides is needed by anyone or any species. Absofuckinglutely nothing.
Though the MLGW says it’s “executed four standard electric service agreements, one water service, and one gas service agreement” with xAI — totaling 50 megawatts of power — Musk says the facility needs much more due to rapid power fluctuations in his system of 10 to 20 megawatts at a time.‘Cause Stupid Grok makes so many boo boos?
But getting approval for that kind of power is a slow and cautious process, according to Bloomberg, as rapid data center construction runs up against the limits of what civilian power grids can provide.
Never one to wait for approval, Musk has chosen instead to exploit a loophole in local regulations, which seemingly allow him to park a fleet of toxic methane generators outside his facility as long as they don’t sit in the same location for 364 days.

Local residents, meanwhile, are left to deal with the toxic fallout. One report by ProPublica found that the cancer rate in this area of Memphis is four times higher than the national average. The low, flat land here has historically been used as an out-of-site locale for megacorporations to plant industrial facilities, resulting in waves of health crises as toxins like ethylene oxide and arsenic pollute the nearby ground, water, and air.
Generators like xAI’s emit huge amounts of nitrogen dioxide, a highly reactive gas which causes irreversible respiratory damage over time. And that’s before you consider its effects on the ozone layer, or its contribution to acid rain, smog, and nutrient pollution in local soil and waterways. With 35 generators now chugging along, that’s a whole chorus of turbines spewing the toxic gas into low-income, minority-led communities 24/7.Fucking Musk needs to be tossed in prison, pronto for all his transgressions against humanity
With the city urging residents to grin and bear it, and the EPA staying silent since October, the burden is falling on the communities affected to stand up to Musk’s move-fast-and-spew-gas AI strategy.
“Nobody else should be burying their families because these rogue, rich, white, racist people continue to build projects that are suffocating us,” KeShaun Pearson, a local resident and director of the Memphis Community Against Pollution told The Guardian. “This is all preventable.

Elon Musk’s xAI accused of pollution over Memphis supercomputer, Hearing scheduled for Friday as residents receive anonymous leaflets that downplay pollution dangers by Dara Kerr, 25 Apr 2025, The Guardian
Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence (AI) company is stirring controversy in Memphis, Tennessee. That’s where he’s building a massive supercomputer to power his company xAI. Community residents and environmental activists say that since the supercomputer was fired up last summer it has become one of the biggest air polluters in the county. But some local officials have championed the billionaire, saying he is investing in Memphis.
The first public hearing with the health department is scheduled for Friday, where county officials will hear from all sides of the debate. In the run-up to the hearing, secretive fliers claiming xAI has low emissions were sent to residents of historically Black neighborhoods; at the same time, environmental groups have been amassing data about how much pollution the AI company is likely generating.
The dispute came to a head earlier this month when the Southern Environmental Law Center revealed that xAI had quietly moved in at least 35 portable methane gas turbines without air permits to help power its supercomputer. The group says this many generators have the capacity to power an entire city and are enormous emitters of toxic and carcinogenic pollution. The law center made the discovery by taking satellite images of the xAI facility.
Days after the news broke, Memphis mayor Paul Young spoke in a public forum and said he had been in contact with xAI and that the company was not using all of the gas generators, according to WREG News. Young, who has long supported xAI’s operations in Memphis, noted that the company has a pending permit application with the Shelby county health department to run 15 generators.
“There are 35, but there are only 15 that are on,” Young said. “The other ones are stored on the site.”

Now, the Southern Environmental Law Center has taken new photos of xAI that include thermal imaging. These photos show 33 turbines giving off significant amounts of heat, meaning they were all likely in use at the time the photo was taken.
“It is appalling that xAI would operate more than 30 methane gas turbines without any permits or any public oversight,” said Amanda Garcia, a senior attorney for the Southern Environmental Law Center. “xAI’s failure to disclose that it’s running dozens of these polluting turbines at its south Memphis data center has left Memphians in the dark about what is being pumped into the air they breathe every day.”
xAI, Young and the Shelby county health department did not return requests for comment.
Musk calls the xAI supercomputer “Colossus”. It’s tasked with providing compute power for xAI’s chatbot Grokthe mega mistake making water and energy wasting toxic village idiot
. The building that houses Colossus is the size of 13 football fields and Musk has said he plans to double that.
Last month, he purchased another property in Memphis to expand xAI’s infrastructure there. The new property is 1m sq ft.
Artificial intelligence requires an immense amount of energy to carry out computations and provide quick responses to user queries. In the US, the majority of that electricity comes from burning fossil fuels. Within a couple of miles of xAI are several residential neighborhoods that have long dealt with industrial pollution. This area is historically Black and has higher rates of cancer and asthma and a lower life expectancy than other parts of the city.Good thing for the rich that exploit AI and the fossil fuels it consumes, that Musk is a vile racist – he doesn’t give a shit about his pollution poisoning you and yours, he just gives a shit about ultra rich white men.

Members of this community have been outspoken in their opposition to xAI and have called for more oversight and environmental regulations on the company. Over the past week, thousands of residents here said they received fliers in the mail that downplay the pollution emitted from xAI’s gas turbines.
The fliers come from an anonymous group called Facts Over Fiction and have a bullet point list that alleges the turbines are “cleaner tech” and “minor” polluters because they use gas, rather than diesel or coal. ya, ya, same old rich white man’s propaganda use to pimp frac’ing and LNG. There’s much research and data proving that Musk is lying, as are these fliers. Natural gas is mostly now extracted via highly invasive polluting radioactive energy and money wasting frac’ing, and has been proven to be MORE polluting than even coal
The fliers say that the generators are low emissions and are regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency
What a horrifying lie. EPA is being neutered by DOGE and the Orange Nazis to precisely allow rich fuckers like Musk to poison poor communities and get away with it
and the Shelby county health department. Both of those agencies have said they did not issue permits for xAI’s gas generators.
“Those 15 xAI turbines?” the flier reads. “They’re specially designed to protect the air we all breathe.”Fucking liar flier

Justin Pearson, a Tennessee state representative who is from this part of Memphis, said in an Instagram post that the fliers are “lying to us about xAI’s methane gas pollution” and “we know methane gas leads to more asthma attacks, leads to more respiratory illness”.
even Alberta’s grossly corrupt fossil fuel industry controlled AER and gov’t admitted in writing how toxic methane is to our health!

Note carefully the red dotted line!

He demanded to know who sent the fliers and encouraged all community members to attend the public hearing on Friday. “We have to combat the lies and misinformation,” he wrote. “Clean air is a human right and the [Shelby county health department] has a duty to protect the air we breathe.”
My favourite dream about billionaires:

2024 05 30: The ugly truth behind ChatGPT: AI is guzzling resources at planet-eating rate
2024: Like frac’ers, AI devours fresh water and is grossly energy intensive and polluting.
Generative AI’s creators need to focus beyond the technical leaps and bounds of their newest creations and be less guarded about the details of the datajust like frac’ers and judges, keeping secrets to enable their harms
, software, and hardware they use to create it.
Some day in the future, Dodge said, an AI might be able — or be legally obligated — to inform a user about the water and carbon impact of each distinct request she makes. “That would be a fantastic tool that would help the environment,” he said. For now, though, individual users don’t have much information or power to know their AI footprint, much less make decisions about it.
“There’s not much individuals can do, unfortunately,” Ren said. Right now, you can “try to use the service judiciously,” he said.Better yet, don’t use AI, boycott it AND BOYCOTT ALL MUSK PRODUCTS LIKE TESLAS, NEURALINK ETC.
