Canada has never allowed convicted criminals into Canada before so why is President Trump being allowed in to attend the G7 being held here in June? Today a family member told me about a young woman they know from the United States who had a traffic misdemeanor and wasn’t allowed to cross the border into Canada to visit her sister for FIVE YEARS! And Canada is allowing Mr. Trump, a man who has been convicted of numerous crimes and impeached twice to enter? We’ve learned that a convicted criminal can only enter IF Canada’s Immigration Minister gives permission – have you?
We understand that an official Petition was started by a man in Alberta that requested that Mr. Trump not be allowed into Canada and it had gathered over 50,000 signatures before Parliament was adjourned for the election. We’re hoping that even though there’s little time left before the G7 that someone starts another petition and it will be honoured by the Government.
We attended the Alternate G7 in 2002 in Calgary when George Bush was attending. Many people traveled to Calgary to protest his presence so we can’t imagine what will happen when President Trump arrives.
We would appreciate a reply.
Sincerely
Resident and family in Courtenay, BC
And friends who also traveled to Calgary for the 2002 G7 and would appreciate knowing what your government will do

Random thought.
Trump complains about illegal activity at Canada’s border as he is about to cross Canada’s border against the law.
I want to know who is allowing this. …
Americans convicted of a criminal offense are not allowed into Canada.
Yet, the President of the US, who was convicted of 34 criminal felonies is?
Explain why he should be treated differently and be allowed to attend the G7 in Kananskis in June?
I’m asking you @MarkJCarney
