Artists Against Fracking Launches by Frack Action, July 14, 2012
A new initiative, Artists Against Fracking, launched on July 13, 2012. Sean Lennon and Yoko Ono went on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (technically 7/14/12) to launch the initiative, which is an amazing effort of major musicians and actors who have come together to oppose fracking, with a focus on New York State and Governor Cuomo. Celebrities already a part of the initiative include Alec Baldwin, Beastie Boys, Bonnie Raitt, Carrie Fisher, David Byrne, Julian Moore, Lady Gaga, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, MGMT, Sean Ono Lennon, The B-52′s, The Flaming Lips, The Strokes, Uma Thurman, Wilco, and Yoko Ono. Frack Action is most pleased to have helped launch the initiative.
