I would really like to have Smith and/or the party clearly define how this concept of sovereign yet still within Canada is supposed to work.
To my mind it just does not compute, the statement is a true oxymoron.
They might also want to explain how they’ll deal with native treaties.Smith, the UCP, and their separatists are racist fuckers, they plan to not deal with any treaties. I think they’re expecting Trump to deport all Indigenous for them.

Last week, two UCP ministers said they didn’t support Danielle Smith’s plan to ignore the courts and force a referendum for her separatist friends. Today, they both “resigned” from cabinet. Danielle Smith serves only the separatists.

The separatists in Alberta want to oust Smith as UCP leader and premier. IMO @jkenney made a terrible mistake by killing the PC party in his effort to “Unite the Right”. Keeping those folks in their own fringe party was better. He faced the consequences – now so will AlbertaCanada.
