2024 USA election winners: Rapists, incels, Putin, billionaires, angry white men, antiscience, antihealth, rape religions; Losers: Women, girls, truth, justice and earth’s livability. Will judges hold Feloniass Trump accountable for his many crimes? No, of course not. They don’t have the courage and he’s not a teen who miscarried. catholic church needs him to protect their endless raping priests and riches, and slither more racist corrupt misogynistic judges into power to destroy women’s rights and lock us up, and legalize slavery.

Why is fascism so alluring and successful? I think because humans are naturally cruel and fascist. It’s instinctive to be cruel to survive. Life is hard for most and filled with pain and suffering. People naturally leap at promises and lies to escape life’s brutality, even if just for fleeting seconds casting a vote, believing in politicians trapping them with promises of getting a share of the riches which of course never come, and in this case, will likely become much more impoverished and terribly abused under the orange rump. The privileged angry white men and rich do not want to share their power and riches illegally gained from raping earth and the masses. Even the women in homes where I was raped as a child enabled the crimes because it served those women well, they were spared the monstrous advances of their violent vile husbands that got off on blood and causing pain. In my experience, fascist women are much more harmful than men. One extremely worrisome cruel fascist woman is Alberta’s Danielle Smith.

Congratulations Israel (a pedophile-harbouring criminal place built on lying religious texts, hate, murder and theft), Putin, Musk and rape religion, notably the evil catholic church. Your disinformation machines promoting rapists worked.

I expect the orange convicted felon rapist will give Ukraine to Putin as his reward for his share helping Musk buy twitter.

2022 Michael de Adder cartoon

I expect rape will be legalized, even of babies, and women’s rights will be obliterated across the nation, to reward the angry American men for their vote and control of the votes of wives and daughters. The right to vote will be taken away, from women and persons of colour first, if Feloniass Trump even allows future elections.

Frac’ing and all other matters of fossil fuels and corporate rape, lies and pillage will be deregulated. All those hard won tiny bits of harm and pollution controls will be gone.

Health will be a gong show. Watch many die and suffering needlessly as RJK jr criminalizes vaccines, masks and other public health protections. Goodbye reason and common sense, hello polio and small pox.

Deaths from extremes of heat, rain, winds, storms, flash floods will escalate; suffering for the masses will be immense.

More and more non human species will gleefully be wiped out by the greedy.

The super rich will get vastly much richer; already $64 billion richer on election day.

All because of religion, white man privilege, hatred, anger, selfishness, greed and more greed and lust for rape and turning women into birthing machines (to drive up profits for the rich) with no rights, not even to health care.

During the shit storms that is the American process for their “democracy” (which I’ve never seen yet and I’m nearly 70), so many were confident Harris was going to win. Pfffft, I told them, never will Americans (even democrats) allow a woman of colour to rule them, I expect Biden et al (the old white privileged men in politics and on the courts) knew that and thus why she was the chosen one to hand America over to Putin and reward the rich racists for their billions of dollars given to blow up Palestinian kids and women and steal their lands, homes, water, olive groves and oil and gas.

I believe the Harper/Trump/MAGA/genocide cult is so juicy and addictive to the masses because it allows humans to boldly live in and not hide their true hideous nature of cruelty.

I have experienced first hand the hideous nature of humanity all my life; climate chaos caused by our relentless pollution (we knew since before I was born how bad our emissions are), human cruelty and lust for power to serve self no matter who gets raped and or killed in the process is why I chose not to have kids. The only thing I did right in my life, is not have kids.

The Trump cult allows humans to be as inhumane as they want, notably incels/raping men that are demanding women and girls legally become property with zero rights, and forced into being baby incubators against their will.

I believe the only way to make America (and Alberta) great again lies in education.

Out with illiteracy! In with reading.

Out with guns and school shootings. In with books and criminalizing banning them.

Make America great again by educating Americans, feeding and freeing their imaginations instead of mass feeding them disinformation fabricated by billionaires. Teach them about the world beyond their borders instead of teaching them to shoot kids in schools.

Lift American literacy up to that of Palestinians.

Then, Liberty would not have to shoot herself. Education would take the likes of Putin-serving Trump and his ignorant bullies down in a snap.

Trump’s win has given angry incels enormous power, The masks were never exactly on to begin with – social media was a hotbed of bigotry long before Trump’s victory. But winning has emboldened his followers by Arwa Mahdawi, 9 Nov 2024, The Guardian

The incels are in charge now

Well that didn’t take long, did it? As soon as it became clear that Donald Trump had won the election, social media saw a major spike in gleeful misogyny. And it seems Trump’s army of angry incels have found a favourite new catchphrase to taunt women with:

While the phrase has been kicking around in far-right circles for a few years, the notorious white supremacist Nick Fuentes has breathed new life into it. “Your body, my choice. Forever,” Fuentes tweeted late on Tuesday night, a few hours before Trump officially won. Shortly after that, he repeated the phrase in a live stream reacting to the results of the election, where he also said things like:

From there, the taunt took off. Young men are now starting to comment “your body, my choice” and “we own your bodies now” on TikTok videos posted by women. In an analysis published on Friday, the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), a thinktank focused on extremism, found “a 4,600% increase in mentions of the terms ‘your body, my choice’ and ‘get back in the kitchen’ on X”.

Even more alarmingly, the ISD notes: “The phrase ‘your body, my choice’ appears to have made its way offline, specifically into schools. Young girls and parents have used social media to share instances of offline harassment. They include the phrase being directed at them within schools or chanted by young boys in classes.”

Various other misogynistic phrases, including calls to repeal the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote, have also been trending online.

I wouldn’t say that the masks are fully off now that Trump has won, because they were never exactly on to begin with. This sort of unabashed misogyny is hardly new: social media was a hotbed of bigotry long before Trump’s victory. And the ubiquity of violent porn, as well as the rise of manosphere influencers like Andrew Tate – who has said women “belong” to men – have had a pernicious influence on young boys. For at least the last year, schoolteachers have been warning about students imitating Tate. Boys have, for example, been trying to slip the phrase “make me a sandwich” into conversations in order to belittle their peers and female teachers. That’s one of Tate’s favourite phrases – and he’s been posting it gleefully in response to women complaining about the election.

Still, while there was plenty of in-your-face misogyny before Trump secured a second term, his victory has clearly further emboldened bigots. Trump is a hero to many because he does whatever he likes, says whatever he likes, and seems to face no consequences for it. So it makes sense that his followers feel like they can now do the same. No need to pretend that you are anti-abortion because you care about the unborn any more.

But what’s most important here, however, is that online trolls have enormous new power now. Trump’s victory was significantly enabled by Elon Musk: the patron saint of Extremely Online misogynists. And Musk will soon cash in on his investment. A man who jokes about impregnating Taylor Swift, makes endless jokes about women’s breasts, and who has been accused multiple times of sexual misconduct, is poised to have more influence than ever.

Trump has also forged a strong alliance with the manosphere, spending a lot of time with rightwing male podcasters as part of his strategy to get young men to the polls. In a speech celebrating his imminent victory on Wednesday morning, Trump asked Dana White, the CEO and president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), to say a few words. In that speech, White gave a shout-out to manosphere influencers who helped propel Trump to victory: “I want to thank the Nelk Boys, Adin Ross, Theo Von, Bussin’ With the Boys, and last but not least, the mighty and powerful Joe Rogan.”

Will the likes of Adin Ross, a controversial podcaster known for crude jokes and bigoted comments, get an official position in the Trump cabinet now? Who knows. One thing I can tell you is that misogynistic online edgelords aren’t in any way out on the fringes any more. They have a direct line to the incoming president’s ear.

When Trump says he’s going to ‘protect’ women, we know he means ‘control.’ Rights we have taken for granted can, as we saw with the overturning of Roe v Wade, be suddenly yanked away by Arwa Mahdawi, 2 Nov 2024, The Guardian

Could Republicans take away a woman’s right to a credit card?

“Hello, I’d like a line of credit, please.”

“Well, before we can even consider that, are you married? Are you taking a contraceptive pill? And can your husband co-sign all the paperwork so we know you have a man’s permission?”

That may not be an exact rendition of an actual conversation between a woman and a US bank manager in 1970, but it’s close enough. Before the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) was passed in 1974, it was considered good business practice for banks to discriminate against women. It didn’t matter how much money she had – a woman applying for a credit card or loan could expect to be asked invasive questions by a lender and told she needed a male co-signer before getting credit. All of which severely limited a woman’s ability to build a business, buy a house or leave an abusive relationship.

Then came the ECOA, which was signed into law 50 years ago on Monday. Banking didn’t magically become egalitarian after that – discriminatory lending practices are still very much an issue – but important protections were enshrined in law. A woman finally had a right to get a credit card in her own name, without a man’s signature.

When things feel bleak – and things feel incredibly bleak at the moment – it is important to remember how much social progress has been made in the last few decades. Many of us take having access to a credit card for granted, but it’s a right that women had to fight long and hard for. Indeed, the ECOA was passed five years after the Apollo 11 mission. “Women literally helped put a man on the moon before they could get their own credit cards,” the fashion mogul Tory Burch wrote for Time on the 50th anniversary of the ECOA being signed.

If feels fitting that such an important anniversary is so close to such an important election. While we must celebrate how far we’ve come, it’s also important to remember that progress isn’t always linear. Rights that we have taken for granted for decades can, as we saw with the overturning of Roe v Wade, be suddenly yanked away.

Is there any chance that, if Donald Trump gets into power again, we might see Republicans take away a woman’s right to her own credit card? It’s certainly not impossible. Trump’s entire campaign is, after all, about taking America back. The former president has also cast himself as a paternalistic protector of women.

“I’m going to do it, whether the women like it or not,” Trump said at a rally on Wednesday. “I’m going to protect them.”

Of course, we all know what “protect” really means in this context: it means “control”. Should he become president again, Trump and his allies seem intent on massively expanding the power of the president and eliminating hard-won freedoms. Conservative lawmakers and influencers want to control a woman’s access to reproductive healthcare. They want to control the sorts of books that get read and the type of history that gets taught. They want to control how women vote. They want to control whether a woman can get a no-fault divorce. They might not take away women’s access to credit, but they will almost certainly try to chip away at a woman’s path to financial independence.I had to fight like hell to create and protect my financial independence and living independently. Much of the fight was ruthlessly cruel and ugly. In my experience, men do not want to share their power, or anything else except work they believe is beneath them like housework and filing paperwork. Never will I give up my independence to anyone, politician or man. Never will I let anyone take me back into men controlling my life and body, never. Not in Canada, not anywhere, not even in Take Back Evangelica Cesspool of Misogyny Alberta

Every month for nearly 10 years, I’ve run a very popular book club in Phoenix. For nearly 120 months running, about 60-80 women of all ages and backgrounds show up to talk, share, make friends, build community. In a good month, we’ll get maybe 5 men. Your loneliness is a choice.

Fondly remember early on when an older man came up to me after a meeting and said he was enjoying book club but wished I’d stop “picking so many estrogen books.” I asked him to explain what an “estrogen book” was and he huffed off and never came back. Fuck your loneliness.

The 5 or so men who come to book club every month are lovely, we shall spare them when the revolution comes.

If you’re in Phoenix and interested in joining, it’s free, no need to RSVP or obligation to purchase a book, though we do love to support our indie bookstore. We’re introvert-friendly. If you just want to come listen and check it out, there’s no pressure

A little thread: Science is defiantly anti-fascist because it pursues truth, is necessarily collaborative, and relies on open communication. And because its falsifiability is incompatible with the cultism, faith-based belief systems, disinformation, and propaganda of Christian nationalism.

Science is defiantly anti-fascist because science works best when the diversity, inclusion, and equity of those who practice it are expanded. Until women became biologists, we didn’t see that “the egg fertilizes the sperm” is a more accurate descriptor than “the sperm fertilizes the egg.”

We didn’t fully appreciate the biological complexity of sex/gender or how many of the planet’s interdependent species are queer AF until queer people became scientists.

The questions we choose to pursue as researchers—what we see and what we are blind to—are framed by our own lived experiences.

In my field of ungulate biology, there are more far more papers authored on the antlers of male deer than on the foraging behavior of pregnant does. That’s because a lot of large mammal field biologists are white guys who grew up hunting. And antlers are masculine trophies.

  • the Affordable Care Act is gutted and all those who can no longer afford health insurance have to go back to mortgaging their homes to get the medicines that they need to stay alive
  • you get that national abortion ban, so more women can die during a bad pregnancyand, I fully expect Mr Misogyny Vance will work especially hard to legalize rape of women and girls (while rape of men and boys will continue to be a crime)
  • the GOP finally gets to amend and revoke all of those social programs that provide social assistance and senior income support
  • the war over trade with China arrives and inflation surges so all those Wal-Mart purchases suddenly become more expensive
  • the bills start to arrive for this mass attack on immigration and a wave of austerity hits every USA program
  • the US foreign policy becomes one of provocative isolationism and the US is not safer and are in fact embroiled in more and varied dangerous conflicts.

The current demolition of Gaza, the ongoing expansion of illegal settlements in the West Bank, and Israel’s reign of terror over both are green-lit, approved, funded, enabled, made possible, and brought to you by Genocide Joe and your friendly neighbourhood Democrats.

Israel was never going to allow a full-fledged sovereign Palestinian state. At best, the Palestinians were offered a disconnected mosaic of Bantustans.

It’s bad enough when the bad guys preside over genocide.
It’s even worse when the supposed good guys do it.
When Biden/Harris presides over genocide, in many ways that is worse.
When Trump presides over genocide, he does not betray Democrat voters and principles. He does not abandon his humanity, because he has none.
When Trump presides over genocide, he does not take the option for justice for Palestinians and peace for Israelis off the table.

When the Democrats take the moral foreign policy option off the table, that option is then lost, because both parties now support gross injustice — and the American people are left with no alternatives (except vote Green).

Worse, when the good guys support genocide, people lose faith in their elected leaders, governments, and democracy itself.

Palestinians die regardless.

Under responsible government, voters must hold their government and leaders accountable. Otherwise, democracy fails.
If the Democrat party fails to adhere to Democrat principles, it is incumbent upon Democrat voters to reject those failures and demand better.
If the Democrats provide unsuitable candidates and unacceptable policies, the only way to change them is for Democrat voters to vote their conscience.
If the Democrat party wants to win, it must respect the will of its voters. It is not up to voters to conform to the will of the party. That is backwards.

“In 2020 as in previous US elections, Democrats are telling American progressives yet again that they must vote for an inadequate, duplicitous, imperial, and corporate-captive presidential candidate as ‘the lesser evil.’ In reality, however, Lesser Evil-ism is a self-fulfilling prophecy that helps move the narrow American major-party spectrum further to the right while channeling popular political energies into an electoral system that does not represent the nation’s working- and middle-class majority.
“Aptly described by the late left political scientist Sheldon Wolin as ‘the Inauthentic Opposition,’ the neoliberal Democratic Party offers no serious resistance, electoral or otherwise, to the corporate and financial class rule advanced by the rightmost of the only two viable political organizations.”

If anything could be worse than Trump’s victory, it’s taking over the Senate, which is in charge of vetting appointees. Expect a rubber-stamp for the most vile, right-wing crew that could manage to wrangle a lower judge position. And these are life-appointments, meaning most of them will out-live Trump for 30-40 years. In Canada, judicial terms are limited to age 75; Harper appointed many (including all those that shat on my lawsuit and charter rights) that will betray Canadians and our constitution for many years yet. If the Picklehead gets massive majority, which I expect will happen same as I was certain Trump would win in 2016, and again this time (mainly because humans are generally inhumane), many more rape and corporate crime enabling judges will rule the slithering nests on our corrupt courts

Goodbye, USA. I wish I could say “It’s been good knowing you”, but it’s greatness was just an accident of geology, sitting atop massive oil reserves that are about to play out.and many states will wash and blow away in storms driven by climate chaos and many citizens will die from heat extremes and severe fires and water shortages (even if USA kills all Canadians and steals our water) as Trump takes more and more away from those who voted him back into power. Trump won’t be able to appoint a single Federal Appeals Court judge that can repeal the laws of physics.

Frank_inBC:

Nah, I think the “American people” will spend the next 4 years wondering why they were such morons. If they live that long. I expect Herr Trump and his klan will exterminate many with extreme poverty, climate chaos, H5N1, COVID, etc.

Hakuin:

No, they won’t. As the misery sets in they’ll console themselves by lynching anyone who doesn’t look albino.

What happens to Trump’s criminal and civil cases now that he’s been reelected by Devan Cole, Paula Reid, Lauren del Valle, Kara Scannell, Jeremy Herb, Zachary Cohen and Sara Murray, Nov 6, 2024, CNN

Donald Trump has been reelected to the White Houseas a convicted felon who is awaiting sentencing in his hush money case in New York and still working to stave off prosecution in other state and federal cases.

It’s an extraordinarily unique position for him to be in: Never before has a criminal defendant been elected to the nation’s highest office, just as an ex-president had never been criminally charged until last year.

Trump has said multiple times he plans to fire special counsel Jack Smith and end the federal cases against him for trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election and mishandling classified documents.

As of Wednesday, Smith is in active talks with Justice Department leadership about how to end the federal cases against Trump, a DOJ official familiar with the discussions told CNN.

“It clearly paid off to aggressively push to delay these cases as long as possible,” said Jessica Levinson, a constitutional law professor at Loyola Law School.

In the meantime, a judge in New York is set to sentence the former president later this month after holding off on handing down the punishment ahead of Election Day to avoid any appearance of affecting the outcome of the presidential race – though Trump’s lawyers are expected to ask the judge to put off the sentencing now that he’s the president-elect.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Here’s what to know about the four criminal cases:

New York sentencing

Trump is scheduled to appear in a New York courtroom on November 26 to receive a sentence for his conviction earlier this year on 34 counts of falsifying business records to cover up a hush money payment made during the 2016 campaign to adult-film star Stormy Daniels, who alleged a prior affair with the president-elect. (Trump denies the affair.)

The filing is expected before Judge Juan Merchan’s self-imposed deadline of November 12 to decide whether to wipe away Trump’s conviction because of the Supreme Court’s decision this summer granting a president some presidential immunity. If Merchan decides to wipe away the conviction, the charges would be dismissed, and Trump would not be sentenced.

But if the judge decides to keep the conviction intact, the former president’s lawyers are expected to ask Merchan to delay Trump’s sentencing so they can appeal. And if that’s not granted, his attorneys are planning to appeal the immunity decision to state appellate courts and potentially all the way to the US Supreme Court to ask the courts to delay Trump’s sentencing until all appeals are exhausted, which could take months.

Should Merchan move ahead with sentencing, Trump could be ordered to serve as much as four years of prison time, but the judge is not required to sentence the president-elect to prison, and he could impose a lesser sentence, such as probation, home confinement, community service or a fine. The Feloniass Rump won’t be held accountable for any of his many crimes. Rich white males in NA usually get away with crimes, especially rape, that’s why our judicial industry was created the way it was, to protect raping criminal white male politicians and the rich.

Any sentence, of course, will be complicated by the fact that Trump is set to take office on January 20, 2025. Trump’s lawyers are likely to shape their appeals to raise constitutional issues challenging whether a state judge can sentence a president-elect, which could tie the case up in courts for years.

Since it is a state case, Trump does not have the power to pardon himself next year after he is sworn into office.Doesn’t matter, I believe there is no judge in USA with the integrity or courage to put Trump where he belongs – in prison. If he were coloured, or a pregnant woman who miscarried, he’ would’ve been tossed in prison years ago.

Federal cases in DC and Florida

Since the cases were brought in 2023, Trump’s main legal strategy has been to delay the trials until past the election so that, if elected, he could fire Smith, leading to the end of the two cases. In late October, the former president said he would take such a step without hesitation.

“Oh, it’s so easy. It’s so easy,” Trump said when asked by conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt whether he would “pardon yourself” or “fire Jack Smith” if reelected.

“I would fire him within two seconds,” Trump said.

The discussions between Smith and DOJ leadership are expected to last several days.

Justice Department officials are looking at options for how to wind down the two criminal cases while also complying with a 2020 memo from the department’s Office of Legal Counsel about indictments or prosecutions of sitting presidents.

More than a half-dozen people who are close to the special counsel’s office or other top Justice Department officials previously told CNN they believe Smith doesn’t want to close up shop before being ordered to do so or pushed out by Trump.

Under federal law, Smith must provide a confidential report on his office’s work to the attorney general before he leaves the post.

The charges brought by Smith against the president-elect in Florida accuse Trump of illegally taking classified documents from the White House and resisting the government’s attempts to retrieve the materials. That case was thrown out in July by Judge Aileen Cannon, but prosecutors have appealed her ruling, which said that Attorney General Merrick Garland’s appointment of Smith violated the Constitution.

Georgia RICO case

The immediate fate of Trump’s criminal case in Georgia largely hinges on whether Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, a Democrat, is disqualified from prosecuting the matter after her prior romantic relationship with a fellow prosecutor. But even if she is allowed to continue prosecuting Trump, the case would almost certainly imperiled now that he has been elected.

The criminal charges again Trump for attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results are effectively on hold while the appeals court decides whether to disqualify Willis, a decision that is not expected until 2025.

If Willis is removed, sources told CNN they think it’s unlikely another prosecutor will want to take up the case and it will effectively go away.

Sources familiar with the case said it is unlikely that a state-level judge would allow proceedings to continue when Trump is president and, in that scenario, Trump’s attorneys would certainly move to have the case dismissed.

There is no clear answer as to whether a state-level prosecutor, like Willis, can prosecute a sitting president. Trump’s victory now forces Willis to confront that constitutional question in addition to the existing legal issues that have already cast uncertainly over the Georgia case’s future.

Civil suits

The former president is also defending himself in a litany of civil lawsuits, including ones concerning his role in the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol, two E. Jean Carroll defamation cases, and a civil fraud case brought by the New York attorney general where Trump was ordered to pay nearly $454 million in damages.

In September, state and federal appeals courts in New York heard arguments for two of Trump’s civil appeals.

Trump lost two defamation cases to Carroll in 2023 and 2024 in federal court after a jury found him liable for sexually abusing the onetime columnist and subsequently defaming her. Two juries awarded Carroll $5 million and $83 million.

A federal appeals court heard Trump’s appeal to dismiss the first Carroll verdict in September. The court has yet to issue a decision.

Later in the month, a state appeals court heard arguments in Trump’s efforts to dismiss the $454 million civil fraud judgement against him, in which a judge found he, his adult sons and his company fraudulently inflated the value of Trump’s assets to obtain better loan and insurance rates.

Trump is also still facing civil lawsuits brought by Democratic lawmakers and others over his role in the January 6 Capitol attack.

It’s possible that all these cases continue to play out even as Trump serves his second term in the White House. In a 1997 Supreme Court ruling stemming from a civil lawsuit then-President Bill Clinton was involved in, the justices unanimously decided that sitting presidents could not invoke presidential immunity to avoid civil litigation while in office.

@TRyanGregory:

Steve Harper is a vengeful guy. He has always made it clear how much he hates Canada and Canadians, wants to turn us into America’s armpit state, and now has to punish us for daring to vote his fascist Repuglican ass out in 2015. Harper and the IDU are coming for us via the Picklehead, another idiot voters will put into power because voting for stupid makes them feel smarter than they are.

The Picklehead, a liar and slogan chanter like Trump who refuses to get security clearance. We need to know why.

Jason P.@JasonPYYC:

People who want cheap gas and cheap groceries are voting for the politicians funded by grocers, and oil and gas.

Make it make sense.
