This story has me absolutely furious. A former senior pastor at one of the biggest churches in Texas abuses a 12 year old girl back in 1982 and only serves six months behind bars. Six months. He was given a 10 year sentence but they suspended almost all of it so now he just walks out free while that poor girl has lived with the scars for over 40 years.
And this is the same man who used to advise Trump on evangelical issues.
It makes us seriously question if the powerful and connected ever face real consequences especially when they hide behind the church.
