Mark Carney, Mr frac’d gas man is a polluter pimp for the rich and Nazi USA, he’s a traitor to Canada. When he killed the carbon tax, he showed the world his toxic colours and disdain for life and water and the poorest.

@sethdklein.bsky.social‬:

This is a very important and disturbing story.

So it seems the Carney gvt will allow new AI data centers to generate their own electricity by burning gas. If this is the future, our climate goals are f-cked.

People re-elected Stephen Harper, but haven’t realised it yet

‪‪@sustainablesong.bsky.social‬

Indeed, Carney is not Harper in a red suit.

He’s worse than Carney in a red suit.

Carney’s assaults on rights, on the climate, on the rule of law, are all worse than those we saw under Harper.

Harper was awful, but an improvement over Carney, the way Trump makes Bush look better in retrospect.

‪@tryangregory.bsky.social‬:

I think Carney is worse too, and at least people fought back with Harper rather than defending his awful policies.

‪@lanefab.com‬:

Makes our local efforts to remove gas and embodied carbon feel like they’ve been thrown under the bus.

Thanks for sharing @sethdklein.bsky.social

  • FYI here’s recent news of ANOTHER fossil gas-powered data centre in Alberta, also with a connection to CPP Investment Board. Our pensions are complicit. Most rotten is that pensions for RCMP and our judges are invested in harmful oil and gas projects, so of course they brutalize protesters and the harmed, and even worse, Herr Hideous Harper slithered his evil way into chair of Alberta pensions at AIMCo, where I expect he’ll make sure to lose .. aka give .. $billions to genocidal Israel, and bankrupting AI and frac firms.

‪@jamesglave.bsky.social‬:

This was the bigger deal in the MOU than that other thing in there that everyone got mad about.

blusterbrown.bsky.social‬:

I mean, let’s be clear. This was the primary driver behind Carney’s AI push. It’s not about the jobs, or the cuts, or even the massive transfer of wealth from public to private hands.

It was always about entrenching oil and gas interestsI think equally to use American AI and military to do mass surveillance on us all, and punish us quickly where ever we are when we speak up about pollution or a Free Palestine and Free Lebanon and no more illegal bombings on Iran and no more illegal kidnappings of top authorities in other countries.

‪@tangibullah.bsky.social‬:

Why do people think a Bank CEO would understand climate change? Or environmental issues, or fisheries, or agriculture?

He’s making it clear that none of those things are important.
