While there is an oil and gas boom all around North Texas, there is not a single natural gas well in Dallas and new rules may make sure it never happens. The city council votes Wednesday on new regulations. Some members want a 1,500 foot buffer between wells and homes. That would be a virtual ban. In August, the council rejected a plan for more than 50 wells in northwest Dallas. [Emphasis added]
